- My treasure books are made of used envelopes and packaging and stamps and any mail junk that I love. I will be using them to store my treasures that come via the post box.
I think this will be a perfect place for mail art swaps and postcards.

Hi Michelle,
I also keep envelopes, bags and all kinds of 'stuff'. I even save all of the postage stamps that come on some of the envelopes and have used some of them to cover a box, among other things. they are so colourful.
I think I might try this to keep some of my bits in.

I really love the look of the double layer of the sewing patterns... so wish I had thought of that myself. Will be going through all my old sewing patterns very soon!
I love your enthusiasm! I get it. Very tactile 😀 and full of awesome imagery. The bag end you want to decorate, you could cut pieces from vintage looking Washi tape and sew them down, or Mod Podge if sewing doesn't work. Cool idea to keep it open on that end. The wrapping is just as precious and any overseas stamps are always interesting! It is so hard to throw things away - I might just need it one day! xx Michelle

This is such a fun idea. I belong to an online website where we do loads of different swaps and I have boxes of stuff but it's not always as fun to go through. So this would be so much more organized and pretty and I can put it up on my shelf and flip through it any time. So now I know what I gotta do.

I really love tactile experiences of books. It's the way that I do most of my books as well. Love the crinkly sounds from your video. LOVE your soft, yummy journal.

Gorgeous books, I love how you put them all together using things you keep around the house. I do that myself and I so enjoy seeing what you do with your books. And I have to admit, I also love feeling and hearing my books, The more squichy and used they are the more I love them =).

I do this too .... not to the extent that you do I must admit.... lol But, I love paper, type, envelopes and now I can actually have a reason to save all those bits and pieces. I haven't bought a journal or daily planner in years. My love of junk turned into something useful. Life is good.

Miss you Michelle. Hope u are having a nice summer. I have a lot of mail related stuff I have saved that has just come in thru my post box. The various security designs inside envelopes. Lots of different post marks I even have a USPS mailing box that came recently that I saved thinking it would make a great journal cover. I was not sure what i was going to do with all of the mail stuff but now I know exactly what to do. What a great idea.....thanks.

What a wonderful way to preserve all these things. I have a treasure box too & have been hoping to turn the contents into a book, but I could never create something so clever and beautiful as your books. The sound of brown packing paper when you touched the pages...!
I am so glad that I am not the only person that likes to get "junk" from other countries. I find it so fascinating. I also keep the tape off packages too to reuse.

I am so glad I found a fellow addict. I was hooked from when I was 10 ( a loooong time ago). I even became a Graphic Designer so I could be even closer to all kinds of paper. You have inspired me not to suppress my paper urges. :)

New Subscriber. I just now found this video and loved your ideas and now plan on giving this a try. You made it sound like so much fun. I am a newbie in this scrapbooking world and very excited to try new things and stretch my imagination and think outside of the norm. The vintage was my favorite though both of them were wonderful. I am finding I am more drawn to vintage. Though the video is a few years old, I thank you for it anyway. Hope to see more of you.

Oh, wow, you are an arteest. The sewing you've done on the vintage book is really pretty. Your paper things are the same types of things I love and secretly collect. I've only very recently decided to make a book of them (instead of keeping them tucked away in a dark drawer.

I double the really thin paper to give it a bit more substance. I am not overly worried about tears - if it happens it becomes part of the texture of the book. Have fun xx Michelle
