To be fair it’s actually pretty smart. If you play a large number of characters at a high level then you’re more likely to know what to expect if you run into one in bracket some day. Particularly an obscure one like DK!
@@worldsboss well the reason people don’t do that is because it’s harder to get creative with the characters and it’s just way more work, but tweek is known to be the hardest worker in smash so idk

Full charged Giant punch is -4 on shield, it’s one of his safest moves on hit that DK has, along with aerial down b which is also -4 on shield if he get’s both hits.

That was a heartbreaker at the end. DK fell out of the up B. He lost the stock, the game, and the set all with that one move not linking into the final hit. It came down to last stock, last hit. That was a great set.

This was the closest set I’ve seen where the final move of the game that should have killed got gimped by the platform resulting in his own death
I know DK Side B is slow but I’m surprised I didn’t even see him attempt it for the Super Armor or jank hit box even once

It’s because tweek jumped away and Ike’s up b didn’t hit with the first hit that helps connect into the rest of the move
It was cause DK touched the platform canceling the hit stunt
The launch hitbox of Ike's swing upb only goes up to his torso. DK was too high to be hit by that and just low enough to be hit by the bottom of the rising sword which has less knockback. If Tweek baired a couple frames too early and he would be low enough to get hit by the swing, too late and he would've been higher and possible into the rest of Ike's upb.
it hit dk's bair while moving away, so as would happen any other time, dk went into the damage animation at his body's position and was too far away for the launching hitbox to connect. yez got teased by the first hitbox connecting but in no world should the whole move have connected
@@pendalink agreed. He was too far and most likely DI'd away at the start too. In fact it looks like it only hit his foot during the back air animation and also the platform helped him shield in time for the comedown.

It’s called the “green room” because of the green screen usually used for broadcasting or recordings. Like the back drops were usually to make the set look a certain way. Just in case that early commentary was something you were interested in lol

Like, Tweek doesn't even know what he's doing with DK and he's doing great because of solid fundamentals.
The character specific stuff like fthrow vs dthrow off stage doesn't matter because he is still reading your options, conditioning you, mixing up his recovery and get-to-stage options, etc.

Man Coney, I never noticed that teeth thing until you pointed it out. Weird. I think the actual explanation is probably just that it was easier to animate that way, and they just used the teeth to emphasize him being pissed/give a good visual representation that he has giant punch charged.

Donkey Kong HAS been to space. In Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Nintendo Wii family of systems, after the final boss (SPOILER ALERT), Donkey Kong (and Diddy Kong if he's alive) will be thrown into space briefly wherein Donkey Longs natural ape instincts kick in and he punches the moon down to earth to instantly kill the villain which is basically a building or something. The moon goes back to its rightful position after (don't worry), being launched by a lot of bananas (how fitting)
There's also a level in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat that takes place in space in the second half. He fights the boss, Sumo Kong, on a meteor that's heading for the planet.

Green room is an old hold over from when only men could act. Like 1600s ish.
They used to have alot of plants in the waiting rooms before actors went on stage. They thought the plants would help with their voices. Hence the name green room.

It's so strange never seeing a single smash attack, side B, or grounded up B from DK. Tweek just doesnt just it. And in some instances I feel like the armor can just hammer through some of Ike's aerials. Of course, Tweek is a far better player than me and I know those moves are laggy but if you time the start up right you can just eat through plenty of attacks. Even catch a swordy off from a well timed F smash cuz of its reach.

actually it was not because of the slope. DK jumped just barely above Aether's initial swing, so he got hit with the rising hitbox instead. That hitbox is weak enough to where you can DI down to avoid the spinning part of the move, and in this case he was able to land on the platform and shield before Ike came back down, but even without platforms you can air dodge away.
I just tested this and was able to recreate it on Battlefield. The rising hitbox has set knockback, so it can happen for any character and at any percentage, and it will never put Ike's opponent into tumble.
Unrelated to the set, but Ike is one character that I can't comprehend why they buffed HIM. His up special buff was the most unnecessary thing of all the patches.
Hard disagree. They wanted to make him a more well-rounded character, and I would say they succeeded to a degree. In exchange for making nair a bit worse for kill confirms, they gave him a strong grounded option OOS (it was already fine, but the killing *really* helps). They reduced some of his aerial potency in exchange for a better ground game. It makes him less linear and more interesting to play with. All in all, I’d say it was a very good decision.
Nah it's actually one of the best patches in the game. They made him less reliant on nair and gave him other options
