This is a profound exegesis of the text regarding courage. I am thankful that Iʼve learned more about what it means to be courageous beyond the mere profession of the said disposition. Praise God! Courage is really being bold in all circumstances when God has promised to be with us and we have to stand with God in it when it is needed the most. That is where the real power of the Gospel is made more manifest. Thank you for this, Pastor Doug! We all have to be reminded every now and then about real boldness in the way we live. The world is often motivated by fear for most of its pursuits and its not going anywhere if it persists in this manner. The Holy Spirit is the one we all need so we could live in the power of genuine courage as a witness before and for the Lord.
That's why courage breeds courage- Jesus Christ has the greatest guts in history- read Matthew 23 . So in the faith my greatest fear is cowardice cuz it will insult God, me and forefathers. We have to accept suffering ,stand firm & pray boldly.
