  • I was invited to participate in an Annie Sloan color challenge, but these six colors were outside of my comfort zone, so this became a custom color mixing challenge for me. The result is a dark & primitive patterned piece with an almost gothic vibe, using a harlequin design to incorporate my custom colors.
    Materials list:
    ✅Annie Sloan chalk paint in chateau gray, aubusson blue, firle, barcelona orange, athenian black, emile, & emperors silk
    ✅️Annie sloan clear & black waxes
    ✅furniture cleaner

    ✅️Annie Sloan mix mat
    ✅cling on brushes

    ✅Annie sloan brushes
    ✅️Redesign with prima keyhole mould,

    Leave it to you to make everything you do look amazing! That technique looks fun and much easier than trying to copy your blending - although I have had a couple great blending projects turn out thanks to you.

    Gorgeous finish! Definitely going to try this- always thrifty with paint and this is a great way to use smalls bits of what’s hanging out on the shelf! 👍🏽

    Ooh-La-La!! So Beautiful!! I see it 2 ways!! Concrete!! And a well worn pair of jeans!!! Was wondering if could do this technique with joint compound?

    • @BrushedbyBrandy
      @BrushedbyBrandy  Před rokem

      Yes, can use a number of different texture mediums, was a good way for me to use leftover paint mixes

    Did anyone count the number of strokes on this? 😅 Are you still using spatula at the end? I’m beginning to eye all my furniture. Something needs a facelift around here!

    So basically your doing dry brushing of different colors over top and layering with the paint still wet or do you dry in between costs?

    • @BrushedbyBrandy
      @BrushedbyBrandy  Před rokem

      It dries very fast because the layers are thin, aside from the textured base, that takes longer to dry

    Is that the same if I use Baking soda instead of Salt Wash ?
