Devvon can you believe I’ve spent days trying to get my mix right only to find out when I bounced the file, the auto normalize box was checked which caused it to distort. I kept re-equalizing, compressing, turning down reverb and all trying to figure out what the problem was. I spent days and days in frustration & now everything is fixed. I’m so mad bro😂😭😭

HEY DEVVON can you do a video on what vocal takes are needed for different kinds of vocal sound for the engineer? Like lead, depth, punch, adlibs, harmonic lows and highs, basically what different vocal takes to actually record that the engineer might need to layer to get certain styles you might want, instead of just sending one single dry take to the engineer and expecting an epic chorus out of it, for example. Also while you're at it maybe how to format/name your tracks before sending them to an engineer for mixing, to make their lives easier. Seperate parts that should be mixxed differently, how to explain what you want, include references, etc. ALSO do you offer mixing/mastering services for other peoples music? I see you keep pretty busy so idk if you make time for that. PS I appreciate the constant before and after muting you do and alternating muting the beat on and off in these tuts. SO useful and no one else does that enough. Also reiterating what something is to give a little context before moving on, like every time you mention aux you always give a quick briefing on it EVERY time, "basically a COPY, made tuts on em, check em out" honestly keep that up. Hella useful to a new viewer who hasnt watched all your previous tuts. Subbed to your music channel btw, great stuff man.
Yooo Devvon! I think a good tutorial would be “Broke in A Minute” by Tory Lanez! The reverb effect on that song is different from a typical Plate/Chamber/Hall and I cannot for the life of me figure it out. Maybe you would have some better luck???
