I love your maxpedition videos, keep it up.
Great in depth review. Much appreciated, im ordering one right now! Thanks from the UK!
SOOTCH! MY MAN! This is a really great gear review but brother...you've come a loooooong way! Always a fan!
Excellent video Sootch! I appreciate you showing us the various features.
God Bless, my friend!
I own the Kodiak S and I am now a huge fan of Maxpedition.
I love my Maxpedition Falcon II and this is another cool product from them.
-- Great setup sir! We too highly recommend Maxpedition!
great bag ive been carrying the malaga for a everyday carry bag for about six months now i like it alot.
Great video..... Just got a Sitka and I am loving it, I am officially a Maxpedition guy now.
Once again Sootch, you did your research and did a very good job on your video. Thanks for the good review. Oh, Gee Thanks...Now I am not only addicted to guns, thanks to you I am also addicted to Maxpedition and my Wife is rapidly doing the same!
Great review Sir.
Just got mine and love it. Did yours come with whistle in the quick clip on the secondary narrow strap. Nice feature.
Do you know if a 10" tablet or maybe an 11.6" Macbook Air fits in a Lunada? I know both fit in the Noatak if that helps. Thanks.
Cool looking bag.
Don, that was a fantastic review!! I will be checking out Maxpedition's website.
excellent review
That's a cool pack. I like the multitude of different pouches, loops and places to put things on and in it. I say that you can never have too many. ;-)) This looks like a great get home bag and like you say a good place to just keep everyday things you need. Keep up the good vids and Take Care. :-))
i love that banjo!!!!
kool bag and reveiw sootch, cheers for the discount code, love the "ad" at the end cracked me up, best wishes and take care bro.
Your lunada seems more geared for bug-out instead of EDC...but a Lotta great info on the bag! thanks
Great Review Sootch ..... My wife is gonna get me one now. Take Care and have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving !
I was just about to pull the trigger on a remora from maxpedition, thank God i saw this review before i went forward with that decision. The Remora is cool and all but it's not big enough for my tablet which is one of the main reasons I am in the market of purchasing one of these Maxpedition Gearslingers. The Lunada looks amazing and I can't wait to carry it around all day, every day, everywhere! Great Video Sootch!
honestly i was kinda like aww another back pack review...but actually watching this i came away very impressed keep it up
Lunada or Malaga? Which bag is better?
Good review! Just ordered one. Can't wait. Much better than the Moab 6!
noatak or lunada?? I've been struggling between the two. Leaning towards the lunada but noatak seems a little bigger and some say the shoulder strap is more comfortable on the noatak.
Can you hide a Glock 27 as the gun of the video? LENGTH:
163 mm / 6.41 in.....I want to use this bag as an EDC and carry my gun there too.I would really like to have your opinion about it.
Thanks and great video
sootch, what's ur favorite maxpedition EDC bag?.
and we are quickly becoming addicted to flashlights!
I'm wondering, what do you use for a "traditional" straps over both shoulders pack? Have you or will you be doing a review on that? I have a monsoon gearslinger and don't find it comfortable for hiking. I use it for traveling. I use a North Face Recon pack for hiking but wondering what your using.
nice pack!
great review. i'm a little torn between this and the malaga. I have been looking at the 5.11 moab 6. the lunada seems the to fit the bill best. thanks again for such a thorough review.
@Kane5565 my dad has the jumbo, and i think the grab handle is pointless, you can simply grab the bottom of the shoulder strap and it works better, thx for the heads up on the price, im super interested in it now.
Hey sootch. Just wondering, is the 'foliage green' actually green or more of a grey?
Where is your R-7 review with your inside goodies?
I made an order from tactical defender last week, still waiting. I got the remora and other misc stuff. I noticed maxpedition raised their prices a bit, while TacDef had prices a few bucks lower. I wonder why
I have the remora wanted something a little bigger like this one still on the fence
Glad they make more affordable clones of this bag. Love the design. loath the price.
Great vid, think I have watched this at least 10 times... just ordered mine in black.. as its coming to the UK its going to take a while :( ah well guess that my Christmas Present sorted for myself.
Hope you and yours have a great Christmas Sootch God Bless.
Its nearly our Lord and Kings Birthday :)
Hey sootch what do you think about the Maxpedition Remora for a smaller pack?
Sootch - What do you think about using this as a Level 2 Med kit?
Hi Sootch. I was looking at the Lunada on walmartdotcom and it does not look at all like the lunada's on all other sites. Is their a different look for different years of the Lunada/ Hope you have the time to look at walmarts Lunada, it looks like a sued dark brown? Weird. Thanks for your time, Tony
Thanks for the discount, Sootch, it goes a long way to help. I think I may be in the running with you for biggest fan of Maxpedition products. It's funny, you seem to be beating me to the punch on reviewing a few items that are either identical, or very similar. This time it's the Lunada (I'm going to be doing the Kodiak), last time it was the F.I.G.H.T. pouch. At least the subject is well covered! You could have gone another 10 min on the Lunada. I would have listened, brother! Thanks!
still have my Rumora
jaggoff! haha maxpedition is where its at!!! as far as quality you can not beat maxpedition!!!! seriously condor might be cheaper but maxped is so well built its ridiculous!!! i have an od green fatboy an then all sorts of attachments and the water proof paper notepadholder its sick!!!!!!!!
ambidextrous backstraps! Nice!
Maxpedition no longer uses 1000 denier exclusively. Some of the newer packs use 800 ( I think ) denier.
I have a Maxpedition Remora, i had to add a shoulder pad, and 3x5 accessory pouch to it - to suit my needs. I do love this little bag, but i would have been better off getting a Lunada instead of pushing the limits of the Remora.
The Remora does not have a side strap, whistle buckle, top accesory pouch, or padded shoulder strap. I have a Remora and Malaga, but i feel the Lunada is the best in the Gearslinger series.
Thanks for turning me on to Maxpedition.I own 5 of there things now with the jumbo and fatboy on the way.I don't thing all of there bags are made of 1000d though I thought the jumbo e.d.c and jumbo l.e.o were like 750d.I could be wrong though.THANKS!!
I'm putting in a video request of you running "At full boar". I will never ask for much, and I appreciate ya!
@Kane5565 the top eye-glass pocket on the fatboy isnt removeable either...? lol
man i wish they still made their products with black zipper material. looks so much better.
maxpedition=quality
I gotta stop watching your video's sootch... I always end up buying something every time!
WHY DONT YOU REVIEW THE NOATAK ???
Homerun!
Stephen
it was either that one or the remora i pick a remora
if it is t expensive to ship to Europe ile order one to..
2019! Wholly shit! Look how young you are lol. ;)
Although a great rugged pack, it's a little to small for my needs. Thanks for this review though.
~ TH
I personally own Maxpedition packs so I can attest to their quality, but those gearslingers with any substantial weight are a nightmare to carry with any considerable shoulder-time. Why bother with such a small pack that protrudes so far off your back? If I have enough stuff to necessitate a pack versus my own pockets, I'll start at a medium and go larger from there.
1:49 manpurse alert!!!! j/k great review keep up the good work. really appreciate quality work.
@Kane5565 i think you took that the wrong way, it was a half question half sarcastic comment. i didnt find humor in it at all. sorry, would u recommend the UTG messenger bag over the fatboy then?, maxpedition has serious quality control issues.
I don't know what it is about it, but that pack just seems too small for being that square. Maybe it's just me, though.
Wish I could get this pack without the Molle webbing, Molle screams weapon to me so I hate having it in my EDC systems. But I am sure you could remove it if you were careful
The final word on Maxpedition is quality. I use a jumbo versipack for EDC and can carry a full size auto, ammo, fixed blade knife, flashlights, fire starting equipment, water, survival tools, etc. - depending on my needs and expectations. I am going to buy another pack soon. I think if you own one, you just want to buy more. That's how useful they are. Keep up the good work.
Your a strange guy sootch.... you like folk music and tactical gear.
sucks that you cant carry all the gear you own at once dont it sootch>?
@sootch00 Epic! lol
edc= man purse haha, do I have one?...... yes
Bad bag for CCW. Velcro is on wrong side of pocket. You have to drive your hand between the Velcro on the back pocket wall and holster making it uncomfortable and difficult to get a purchase. Check out other mfg bags and see the difference. Don’t be foolish to put a gun in a pocket if it isn’t in a simple Velcro holster to cover trigger and keep gun from moving around.
Hey sootch, i kinda dont have a daddy,
will get me one of these for christmas? =.( ha ha.
like a purse....but for men!
@aj45colt and sexiness
Great review! So many folks spend too much time discussing what they carry in their bags rather than reviewing the bag itself. Your review was a nice equal balance of the bag's capabilities (by showing your gear) but also showing the bag's features. Mine will be here Sunday. Can't wait! Thanks for your time, Sir.
