The world headquarters for Kyokushin Karate are here, and my sensei, Tadashi Nakamura was raised here and studied Kyokushin directly under Mas Oyama, then in 1971, he opened a Kyokushin school in New York. In 1976, he broke away from it and founded Seido Karate, and he has a school here too. I visited both schools out of respect, but I practiced Seido because Nakamura is my sensei.
People are so well dressed and stylish. Streets are clean, wish our cites were in America
