    In 2003, the town of Erie, Pennsylvania made national news when an unassuming pizza delivery man walked into a local bank and demanded a quarter of a million dollars from the vault. What happened next would baffle authorities for years and see the crime become one of the most intriguing ever committed in the United States. So what happened?

      Simon could pull off the perfect crime. 1 simon could rob the bank then go into the McDonalds next door and mingle with 50 or 60 of the Simon clones that normally present the hundreds or youtube channels he is associated with. How about the origin of the word "Bull's eye" and how did "jackpot" get that name?

    • @bobby_greene
      @bobby_greene Před 4 lety +2

      Bulls eye comes from bullfighting when there is a death shot through the bull's eye. Jack pot comes from Uncle Jack; he has the best pot.

    The story of my hometown. Erie doesn't typically hit national news, unless it's for something bad.
    It's odd seeing a "Today I Found Out" episode talking about the city I live in. Seeing the Netflix documentary, Evil Genius, was also quite a surprise.

    My personal theory was that Brian knew them all but wasn't part of the plan until the pizza call, he thought it was not real (that's why he was so cavalier in the bank) so he went along with the plot they gave him.

    There was only one electronic timer and two analog kitchen timers with when at zero would complete the circuit. The electronic timers was a warning/ alarm to alert that the bomb was about to go off. But most of the device was about misdirection which it did until the police reconstructed it.

While waiting for the clerk to process the documents it just sort of slipped from me about my tax fraud schemes and illicit bookmaking. I think it's the atmosphere around that whole police thing, makes you say weird stuff for no reason.

    Please consider looking into the SL-1 nuclear reactor explosion in Idaho Falls back in the 60’s. Three guys were killed (one so radioactive his family received nothing but one hand in a lead coffin, the rest of his body disposed of as nuclear waste), but that’s not the interesting part. Two of the men had an ongoing disagreement over the attention one was paying to the other’s wife...which led to him possibly sabotaging the reactor to make his rival look bad. Or it was suicide. Or it was murder/suicide, since none of them were able to tell their side of the situation. Interesting and may explain why we don’t just let 2 or 3 people look after a reactor anymore.
