footage of the floating barrel movement shooting the 300 wsm was the best example i've ever seen and really gives a good idea of how barrel harmonics can affect accuracy. cheers.
I still can't believe you guys run around wearing flip flops!! That place looks pretty "Snakey" and not to mention the thorns and poisonous insects....Great Video!!
I'm no expert but at 8:40 ish you can see that the barrel bounces inside the chassis much more that I think it should :o
Gys de Klerk It does look pretty horrendous doesn’t it? Everything is torqued down tight, it could just be the barrel profile, a 208gr bullet at those speeds would need a very heavy barrel to stay rigid.

Matt, this is the best video I have ever watched on you tube. Actually its the best hunting film I have ever watched anywhere. The cinematic value of this one was over the top. The vegetation shots, the sky watching at the end, and of course the camaraderie. It was incredible man. Really enjoyed this man. Thanks for sharing.

Wow the barrel on the 300 WSM really flex’s a lot often the shot. Wow... I have been shooting for over well over 40 years and am x military with experience with long range weapons and I have honestly never witnessed that. Slow motion captures so much. Very cool! Thanks for giving me some ideas to try. I assume that yours is a free floating barrel then? What grain bullet are you pushing and at what velocity if you don’t mind telling me. I like the 150 and 165 grain boat tail ballistic tips. BCs are really good with good down range energy transfer on thinner skinned animal’s. It really shuts them off so to speak. Very humane and clean...well not so clean but quickly lets say that. They do make a bit of a mess sometimes but don’t want anything to suffer because of me. Switch off is how I want it every time. Very nice set up. Made respect for quality equipment. Oh my goodness yes I asked Matt to get his lady behind the trigger and involved. He knows you want to see more female shooters in the air gunning videos. Sorry she’s at it again. Still claiming she will out shoot all of us. Truth is she will try...ha ha ha. Take care cool video sorry for my lady interrupting my comment.

I'd love to go there with my .17HMR and .308. If south Africa allows hunting with semi-autos, I'd take my .22 and .223, both of which have been outfitted for precision within their effective ranges.

Nice to see you back ! Can't wait to see some ground squirrels and rock chucks go down . I think the air rifle shooting is my favorite . Don't get me wrong I enjoy the powder burners alot but the fx impact is my new love . Damb I think I might need a woman in my life !
