An unkown person even for the spaniards. Amazing people.
For a long time he was. See he faked his death after World War II because he was afraid of retribution but eventually he was found and managed to get the respect he deserved and was even honoured by Prince Charles and later the American people.
Fake its own death is common in this kind of people. Check out the life of Francisco Paesa, there is a movie called "el hombre de las mil caras", he is "was" an spaniard secret agent that cheated everyone, amazing person.
He was Catalan from Barcelona
@@maem365 so spaniard lmao

Legend between the legends.
Had he been American, movies would have been made about him
More people need to know about this man
Come on Netflix make a movie
A serial better. It will be mor interesting and longer
And make it a comedy
A production with Oscar Isaac as the protagonist has been working on the project since 2017. 🥲
I can't seem to find the movie Garbo the spy, I have to watch it.
Code name 03:04, selling point.
Another double agent, Dusko Popov, with a far more intriguing story. He's said to have inspired the James Bond character.

Garbo also got many men killed off the coast of south england.
really ? how?
That's actually absolutely incorrect. His work was so meticulous that he managed to get the German's to commit resources to exploring ficticious allied supply routes. One of them was dangerously close to the real route but thankfully never got discovered before the brits teamed up with him.
Garbo was the principal reason Rommel and his tank corps we're up in Caslis during D-Day. As horribly difficult as it was, it might have been completely impossible if the full might of the German military had been at Normandy.
