Nobody air down the tires at least 2/3 psi ? is a procedure to let some air-out from all the tires the vehicle will be less bouncy and have better grip in crawling specially for the rocky sections...
Of course once the off-road session is done and everyone is back on the pavement the tires need to be inflated again, topping the air-back for the street spec.. A well known clever procedure among adventurers ofthenly used in off-road.
