I thought I heard Opie laughing when you were telling that demon story. I don't think your back is the real problem here. You just put in too much effort. Just wait until you really get old. My heating pad gets a lot of use. Congratulations, Paige!!! Take it easy. Thanks for the ride. Safe travels, and God bless.
Mr. Kurt, you got all those high school students around you and you were even thinking about loading that music trailer, that my boy is on you. I have worked with the Boy Scouts for many years, they know if I am on the scene, they are going to be doing some loading, unloading and setting up their own camp! They will also be helping the younger boys too, that’s the rules(in my rule book). This old man has earned his place. They know it and I know it, take it or leave it. S@me thing when they need help moving a car that does not run(broke down or otherwise), trailer shows up, the boys get cracking, my job is moving the car, point A to point B, you load and unload.
Kurt, that sucks. Sounds like you got a get your rear end aligned, literally. Get better soon man I know that’s horrible to deal with. I’ve dealt with it before. Back pain is no joke.👍👍👍
I hate having back pain while I drive, but it is chronic so I take whatever works that day! You are real lucky Opie didn’t push you out of the bed, I have had that happen once and now I hang out in one spot most of the night. Adds to the back pain!😊 Be safe out there man-- could be a beast looking for you now?!
Wow Kurt i feel for ya!! Years ago i kinda slipped gettin out of the truck and hit my tail bone oww! I cried it hurt so bad but i trucked on!! Be safe bud😮
Kurt, congratulations to tater tot. Brought back some memories. Both my kids were in marching band back in school. Back in the day. They’re all grown up now.👍👍👍
Hey Kurt I feel yer pain bud I had ta have surgery in 2000 and still not right alot of sciatica, heat helps alot and movement like ya said. Those pigpens and cattle pots are all left lane trucks I know I used ta do it😂.🇺🇸👍
I feel your pain Kurt I just had an 8mm kidney stone removed last Friday, I have never felt pain like that before! My open heart surgery 5 years ago was a breeze compared to a kidney stone!
Sorry for your pain that big demon caused your imagination. Lol you really are a strong & patient man... You kept going even helping the band and going from #1-#2-#3 chiropractors and still trucking on. "ADMIRATION"
As my daughter used to say to me when my old rodeo injuries acted up on me. She said, Dad, you need to see the cheriopoplar; that's the best she could pronounce chiropractor. LOL
I know what you went through Kurt. Threw my back out 1/2 way through a 10 hour run. I was O.K. in the seat but it was bad doing the unload. Hope you're better soon and you are right about the Jeep seats too.
I feel your pain mate I got rushed to the E.R yesterday fell backwards off the back of my flat bed on to concrete busted and bruised every bone in my back so I'm laid up unable to move at the moment
Kurt I feel for you. I have lower back issues, something you might try that I have found works for me, when I put my socks on when my back is hurting I lay down and bring my foot up it is easier and hurts less that way.
i learned this from a old school trucker when trucks where made of wood & drivers where made of steel ,, the next time your back goes out,, first take three(3) Ibuprofen, what it does is reduce the inflammation & ease pain,, next take a 2x4 [a little longer than your foot, three in. in front & back of your foot} set it down on the floor by your drivers door near the clutch , but not to interfere with the clutch operation, & set your left foot on top of that 2x4 while running down the road or sitting ,, also add heat from a heating pad ,, what it does it helps relieve the pressure off your back plus help alien your back,, i was told by an osteopath to get one leg higher than other, in these matters i have seen drivers put their foot on the dash,, this little trick works, you'll feel a pop or feel a crack or you may even hear it go back into it's position,, try it , it does work
I feel your pain, Kurt. My L4, L5, and S1 lower back discs are compressed. It’s a special kind of pain I don’t wish on anyone. I hope you get better soon.
Brother I know this is 13 days old, but I absolutely know you're pain I have two herniated discs in my lower back and I have thrown my back out at work in Virginia and have to have kept working and running that road my sympathy goes out to you man
I'm the same way you are Kurt. In all the years that I drove truck, I very rarely sat down at a table in a restaurant and ate. The few times that I did do it was when I had a fairly long layover, or if I ran into someone I knew and had plenty of time. Otherwise it was grab something and head back out to the truck and eat, or if I didn't have a lot of time, I'd just eat on the fly... The few times I did do it, it was nice, but it was just more relaxed in the truck.
I’ve had back spasms problems all my life and found out that walking and a heating pad work the best…icy hot helps a little…lucky for me I walked all day on my job so once I got my shoes on I could get to work,,,setting killed me…getting in and out of my pickup was hard but in a couple weeks I pretty much was back to normal.hope you feel better soon..ps putting my socks on I had to lay down for back support and to put my shoes on I had to use one of those pick up tools old people use to grab stuff from the ground with out bending…😎🇺🇸
Kurt, I preferred the Demon story. 😂 As someone who has a curved lower 3rd in my spine with arthritis, I can sympathise with your pain. Take care. Peace & Love to you and Opie.✌
Kurt ... here is a perfect plan : trade that little bitty jeep for a Grand Wagoneer... no more scrunching up trying to get comfy...I just traded my Honda CRV for a nice Honda Ridgeline with Cadillac luxury and wow it has made a great difference in my pain level... size does matter.
My hip is jacked up currently too....been in PT for over two months, nerve pain in my 🦵 , no fun....gotta sit on a heating pad for a half hour to get my socks on
So cool for tater play the trumpet my daughter played trumpet in the band can my son play saxophone what a small world and the wife and I follow them all the way to bands of America😊
Walking, I hear ya. L3/4 fused. Right hip replaced. Left knee replaced. All reasons for me to walk whenever possible. Sometimes all I can do is laugh trying to get dressed. Have you tried bio freeze? Or an inversion table? Anyway, Keep up the good work, be safe. . I'm headed to Utah Saturday.
Super-serious illnesses, life changing injuries. L3/L4 fused ? There must have been a massive discus hernia there. Hip... Have you had maybe fall downfrom high place or traffic accident maybe? Yes, the socks are a bitch and a half. Going in toilet also is complicated and oh plus so many other things... Mentally it seems that u're coping well with all that *hit. Anyway, slow down man. Do what u must do but do it slowly and carefully please. So long my friend
Get yourself (and your dad) a tens unit. I use it a lot on my messed up shoulder for pain, and my husband uses it on his back for pain. I've used it on my back as well, and it helps so much. You can't use it while driving, but while you're in the sleeper or at home. Feels amazing! I believe ya on that monster... 😉 😉 😂 Stay safe!
Kurt you need to get a purple seat cushion. I broke my tailbone slipping on the ice a few years ago. We drive from just south of Topeka to Galveston, 11 hours, and I do not have any problems or pain.
We were over in your neck of the woods in Topeka delivering a load to smuckers. Not quite the drop and hook like yours. Sat for 8 hrs waiting to get unloaded. But that’s trucking!
One day I reached over in the back of the truck just like I always had and something snapped and I had to crawl back to the house there is nothing worse than being down in the back I hope you get better soon cause thats a bad way to have to work
Oh man Schmidt I feel your back pain and remember those times I could barely move without pain but still had to work since I was self employed and a family of 4 to take care of. Hope you found relief and getting back to pain free movement!
Well buddy, I can tell you from all the years of construction work, my back is gone. One of the worse things to happen is to lose the mobility in your back. As for my experience, stay the hell away from Chiroprators. They might ease some pain but they damn sure can not solve the problem. I had one of those quacks put me to sleeping in a chair for over six weeks sitting straight up and not in a recliner which I don't have in my house. With one push of her hands on the center of my back, she instantly caused me to have costochondritis. Look it up. Not fun to have. You probably have muscle strain. Take it easy and some Tylenol .
As soon as I saw you getting out of the truck, I knew you had a back issue!! Been there and done that to the tune of surgery in 16!! now having other issues after getting new knees!! Yes to a chiropractor, they kept me going for 40 years!! Good luck with the back!! Take it easy and care of yourself, stay safe!!
Hey kurt, maybe u should Lookout for a Dekubitus pillow. Yes ITS right IT Sounds for elderly people but IT will help u with ur sitting right issu. I have this Same brocken Problem and IT helped well. Do Not use a Ring Form IT will hurt even more.
Kurt thanks for the video sir, hope you get to feeling better soon lots of icy hot patches and ibuprofen 800mg usually helps if you are able to take time off from driving that would help as well but if not be careful what you take because that random ua could pop up at any time. Well your daughter and band class really sounds good well until the next one stay safe and be careful.
As my nephew says "Round is a shape" I lost my right eye playing baseball in the 8th grade, in the late 60s. I have burn scares on my right arm from roofing tar accident in the late 70s I used to have a necklace that I told my nephew it was a dragons eye that I lost my eye and burned my arm fighting the dragon! I used to be plagued with back troubles till I quit carrying my wallet in my back pocket and carrying it in my shirt pocket
When I watched you get out of first class at the start of the video and walking like C3PO I thought oh man Kurt's in trouble here take good care of yourselves won't you Kurt and Opie
Hope you are feeling better. I've been in the same place before. It's definitely no fun when it hurts to drive, and you have to put all those miles in.
Brother Kurt I went through the same thing a couple weeks ago threw my back out and man putting socks and shoes was terrible had to take pain pills and muscle relaxers hope you get better cause that ain't no fun
I feel your pain… have chronic pain in my lower back and leg for years. I hope that you get relief soon… great video and Paige and jazz crew sounded awesome 👏 😊🦮🐕🦺🎺
I know exactly how you feel because I Jared my back two weeks ago and now my hips are hurting me sometimes it's hard to walk, great video keep up the good work God bless from GA
Congrats to those wonderful jazz performers you do amazing and are very tallented good to see those snipets along with the great story telling kurt you have a good one and get some rest on that back once you hurt your back it never really recovers but im sure you are very aware of the stay safe and have a good one.
Hey i am still looking for who ever beat me up , don’t want to blame my age turned 70 in November and it’s been down hill ever since. Hang in there Kurt hope you feel better safe travels
i can feel how fun it is too crank up and down a trailer with back pain wow had a few nice ones myself, hope it will be better soon Kurt, congratulations to tater tot.
Congratulations Paige & others sounded great! "Ouch" I can emphasize with you. Hope you're feeling better real soon. Stay Safe & 🙏✌️❤️ to the family & critters. Pam Ogden IA
Congrats on the jazz bang and accomplishments! Watching you with that back brings back bad memories for me - when I hurt mine. That pain is TOUGH. Walking is good for relief and lots of Motrin ( with food). Hopefully you are feeling better by now. Can’t imagine raising that landing gear. Ask for help if can.
That’s called Road courtesy to the bull hauler. Not sure if much of that goes on anymore.👍👍👍
I thought I heard Opie laughing when you were telling that demon story. I don't think your back is the real problem here. You just put in too much effort. Just wait until you really get old. I agree
Poor Kurt! Been there done that..very painful. Putting on socks is the WORST! Feel better soon. ❤
Get better soon Kurt sending prayers for a speedy recovery 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Maybe put a little air in that seat ? I know it's not cool these days, but it might help. U hang in there
I keep telling myself, slightly round is a shape.....Lol
Humanity salutes you for your service protecting us from demons!
Lots of love

Kurt, I am surprised you don't have a video of the Chiefs winning Super Bowl again, and you and Troy's reaction, like you did last year?!
There was a video, I just didn't share it.
oh ok

WOW! I am disappointed. I thought you had saved the planet. Hopefully, the back will be back soon. I have the same problem. Tylonel or IB Profen.
"Lolly gag" or "fiddle fart" works also

2 words Kurt, heated seat
Does wonders when you're sore and stuck in the truck for hours
This is one of your best videos. Quite the giggle.
