  • This Tilt-Plate allows antenna elements to remain horizontal to the ground while a tower is tilted. Without a tilt-plate, elements would remain fixed and tend to poke into the ground with a tilted tower. A step ladder would then be required to service a large antenna, thus defeating the purpose of a tilt over tower. This tilt plate will be used with a Mosley PRO-57, (weight 92 lbs, wind 11 sq ft.), mounted on a Heights Tower Systems 53 ft tilt over tower. w5yar.us/new_to...

Wow! That's heavy duty. I don't need that much; I'll just scale it down a bit.
Thanks for the video. Beautiful work.

I built a diy model some years ago and without proper tools I had difficulty keeping everything square. I like your idea of using Amazon. Do you recall the vendor? Did they make the 45 deg cuts opposite the pillow block plate. I had to buy stainless pillow blocks because I’m very near thegulf and salt air degrades everything.

Looks very good. Can you give us the dimentions of the plates ?

12 x 12 " and 3/8" thick. Order precision cut from Amazon. Also the 1" x 12" solid aluminum shaft

What make and model Beam are you using with this and how has it worked for you so far?

Mosley Pro-57-B, 24ft boom, 95lbs + 18lb tilt plate. Works great. Removed latch, unreliable at end of long pull cord, High wind does not lift plate.
