THANK YOU! I was pulling my hair out wondering WHY my game launcher wouldn't load after the LD Smoothness Patch 2.1 mod with EA App. It is SO SLOW for no reason! (For anyone else who was confused, check around 19:25 and if you get distracted by her voiceover, muting may help for a few minutes until her NEW launcher actually loads.) Normally I prefer edited videos for conciseness, BUT your video was essentially in real-time and showed me each bump I was running into.
Thank you for watching. I definitely could've whittled it down but I wanted barely techy ppl like me to get a very slow step by step . I'll be doing a few more tutorials that will be shorter I promise. Thanks for the support 🙏 🙌 ❤️

I love this!! But unfortunately this is making my game lag whenever I put the files from the “Packages” folder. I open my game but it’s soooo laggy and slow compared to when I take out the “Id Smooth Patch files”
My game will say it’s patching and perfect.
Any suggestions?
Try untickng the message to come up in the 📝 notes.The patching message. I heard it can cause lag after the first time you use it.
Same happens to me it makes my game lag more thank you
I did the steps, the only difference is that Im playing on steam. I press play and the sims 3 play button, but it doesn’t launch?? Am i supposed to wait and for how long?
I don’t have the sims3launcher.exe because i thought thats only for origin/EA. But when i do press play it says “Patching Game” which means the patch is working. So idk whats happening :/ unless its just updating the application.

I have never heard of that issue. Take it out and try again. Read the instructions carefully. It might be a ui mod or the nraas fix package. If it's the latter then you need the older version of the mod.
I have the pirated version of ts3 😞 do you know how to download it for pirate versions? I've tried to, I tried the PatchEa one and the Patch10 one, but both made my game encounter the same problem. All my sims freeze, I can't move them or make them do anything but time still passes and other sims are able to move. It's really strange.
If you have an unofficial version of the game 🎮. Then the launcher may not work for you. I suggest you just use the Smooth patch only and not the launcher add on.

On lazy duchess mod the sims page. There is smooth Patch and smooth Patch launcher separately

I use the EA launcher and I don't have the "Game" folder, what do I do?
You don't have the sims 3 folder? That doesn't sound right. Even of you have the ea app. And I do too. You should still see the sims 3 In Your documents folder. Another way to find it is to go into the launcher and if you have snu pics in-game just click on one and select open file location. That should take you to the screen shot folder in the Sims 3 game folder.
Also before I forget. Do you have a mods folder 📂 🤔?

Hello! I’m experiencing the same thing as this person. The path I take is Documents>Electronic Arts>The sims 3 and I don’t see a folder titled “game”. I see my mods folder and I see everything else such as featured items, installed worlds, etc but even when I search up “bin” nothing appears. I’m not sure what a snu pic is. Any suggestions?
Do I need mcc for this to work cus i took it off my game cus it kept crashing now without it it don’t crash at all but it lags
Smooth Patch doesn't need any NRAAS mods, in fact it works a bit better without it cause it conflicts. That's why you have to add the mcc patch if you use it with the Smooth patch so it registers. So no.The Smooth patch Is not a fix all for all lag... but It should help reduce the lag you get significantly. Let me know if it's unbearable. Cause it shouldn't be.

@@TheSirenSims sorry for the late reply but it’s just the other files and stuff like everything is there except the smooth pack package file but then a minute ago I just decided to move all the stuff I downloaded from the mod (like the ts3patchlauncher and ts3patchlaunchercfg and the other stuff) into downloads and then for a split second the proper launcher came up and I saw how it’s supposed to look and I thought omg wow it worked but then some error thing came up and no matter how many times I retry the same exact thing, it doesn’t happen and I’m so lost?
Okay here’s a quick update, somehow it ended up working (kind of) so the mod is there and the launder looks like how it’s supposed to look but when I’m on the game, everything is still super slow and nothings different? What am I missing
@@moo2657 oh ok. Sometimes that happens to me too. What i do to speed up my game... (I'm not a modder or a tech guru)... 1. I merge my cc , not mods, that speeds up my game a bit. 2. I only use 1 to 3 expansion packs at a time, too many sp and ep can make lag. 3. I turn of the interactive loading screen, it does make loading longer. 4. I make my graphics only high on sims detail and everything else on medium or low. 5. I deleted the cache files in the sims 3 folder. 6. Sometimes I periodically delete the folder and have it reload fresh. Or Uninstall the game and make sure it's giving fresh files. I have a few more. I might have to make a video. Sorry if some of them is difficult to understand.

Someone please help! At the moment my game is running okay through the EA app. However, i’ve never updated it and i am interested in downloading mods to prevent the came from crashing/glitching. What do you recommend? Should i update my game first? I found updates through my sims 3 store account online.
Hey no problem. Always make sure your game is up to date. Then I recommend using the lazy duchess smooth patch to speed up your game and reduce lag a bit. To prevent crashing, you can use these Nraas mods- error trap and overwatch...if you need anymore help please let me know!!!

Please elaborate. That's very vague. Do you mean the lazy duchess Launcher?
@@TheSirenSims I think they are referring to the lazy duchess launcher. I have been trying to get this to work through steam but the download file doesn't include a launcher
There are two different things that can work together. If you go onto lazy duchess mod the sims page. You will see the launcher and smooth Patch as separate things you can Download.

Thank you I was really confused since it only seemed for the ea app version 😅 It looks like you don’t have to download it since my CAS has been loading instantly with just the files in the bin, might just be a wee bit better performance with the launcher. Hi, I just got a new Dell G15 series laptop with Windows 11 with a 12th gen Intel Core i9. And I haven't been able to launch Sims 3 or sims medieval.
The Sims 3 launcher opens but then closes and goes to the ea app.
Will this mod help them to launch or do I need something else to help the games to launch?
This can happen if you haven't cleared cache in the sims 3 documents folder or if you have certain mods that randomly stop working. What mods do you have? Do you have Nraas Master Controller?
@TheSirenSims I don't have any mods yet. I just downloaded it on my new laptop, and it won't launch the only sims I can launch is Sims 4
So you have no mods or cc at all?

That's strange if you have no mods or cc the game should have no issues. Is this game an official version (not pirated). If it is then you can can go onto the EA APP and repair the game. Also do you have any store content in your game?

I have a question , does the smooth patch make script mods run better
This mod alters the speed at which the game’s processing runs, which improves the overall performance of the game and some loading times. Most noticeably in Create A Sim, Create A Style and Buy/Build... So it may speed up some laggy Script Mods... however I'm testing the Simler Core mod . Once I see it works ill make a video. I think one fixes more internal mod issues. The Smooth Patch is more for the game overall not really the mods. I have seen a difference in my Script mods, but I can't say for sure.

@@TheSirenSimsi put it in the bin file but when i tried to open ts3patch and change number and follow after that i wanted to save it and It say i dont have permission to change this file see the owner of this file.i have the sims 3 pirate version does it work to?

Patch 10 is if you have orign still. The one that says " ld_TS3PatchEA.zip" is the one i use.

hi, redoing this again on my steam deck. mods work great, im at the part where bin is at and im gonna copy thew files into my bin folder, right? however, i don't have the asi. i have the the cfg patch, launcher patch, and sims 3 launcher exe. do i copy all into bin? thanks
Yes add the patch cfg, launcher and s3 launcher exe to bin.
