Hell yeah!!!! My bro Gerb with the muffler delete!!!! I love the way it sounds man, even tho it’s temporary I still think it sounds awesome. That’s similar to my custom exhaust set up that I was telling you about that I’m running on my FG1. I just have my cat then it’s straight all the way back. 3” piping with my 3.5” Vibrant tip. I was telling ya it would sound good!!

I've ran mine the exact same way for the past 2 years! Its quiet enough for me to daily but the Vtec crossover is Insane!
It really is! Only things that suck are smell & some drone at high rpms

I told him it's the vtc actuator/intake cam gear already he is in denial haha doesn't want to have to do the 20-30 hour job and spend the $500 but i don't blame him just not smart to be driving with a bad vtc

Awesome..... finding that tone is trial and error.... My set up is... S2 header... 3 in pipe w 3 in resonator... 1st bend has a 3 in electric cutout.... than it necks down to 2 1/2... 2nd bend lead to a hushpower II... and finally a magnaflow exhaust..... the cutout is stooopid loud... but I dyno'd 386hp........ with it closed... 373hp... lots of trail and error to get where I'm at sound wise... oh well to each his own... lol

My FA5 has a muffler delete with a straight pipe wielded on. Best thing I’ve done so far. It crackle and pops all the timmeee 🤤🤤

Gerb Productions just the muffler removed. I’m kind of shocked it does all that with just a muffler delete. Tho it’s when I down shift in lower gears.

Gerb Productions i used 2”. It sounds better than just the muffler removed too, it added a deeper tone. Performance wise? My car still runs great recently ran it on a dyno and with just a caí got 201 whp.
I was straight piping it but since I’ll be selling my FA5 I put the full race 3 inch back on but did swap the header out... took off the Alpha to sell and put the ASP custom header on
better not sell it before i come down there in May

I'm driving an '88 CRX with a mini me swap, with no muffler. The internals of my muffler caught fire during a pull one day, so I had to emergency amputate the muffler. I haven't been pulled over being too loud yet. But VTEC is LOUD!!!

Yeah, I pulled a muffler from another civic, but it's going to take some modification to fit the CRX, so it's gonna have to wait until the weather gets warmer at the very least

Get an exhaust cutout. I put one on my ep3 so now I have a straight pipe out the side of the car or the fully muffled exhaust for when the cop pulls behind me. It already pops and bangs, now I just need a proper header and decat.
It’s by far my favorite thing I have done to my car, and anyone who rides with me comments on it, especially when you press the button at the same time as you put the pedal to the floor, it’s like the most dramatic VTEC engagement because you go from super quiet to screaming in a second

Jack Hofalot 160 yeah, it’s not very fast, It is completely gutted except for the dash tho, including a sunroof delete, but my engine is at 240,xxx miles, so making more power is sort of pointless right now. Still it’s a fun car in the right applications, I live in ny so mountain roads are abundant.
And it gets okay gas mileage, plus you could fit like an entire couch in the back, I have moved in and out of places in a single trip thanks to how much space that hatch has
As much as you change your exhaust im surprised you even need PB blaster for the bolts. They don't have time to rust hahaha, but nice video though car sounds good

It sounds great ! I think you should just run a straight pipe to the very end cos of the exhaust heat ...it can cause a fire .

@@TheGerbsteve without the muffler , the car would louder and faster but it might not pass emission test . I'm in West Africa , Nigeria and vehicle modifications have no restrictions at all , so my friend and i decided to play around with his 2008 Toyota Tundra ....we removed the muffler and ran a straight pipe ...it was even louder than a G Wagon . it's 2 years later and he still daily drives it , drift it, race it 😎.

I had an eBay exhaust, yonaka exhaust, and skunk2 exhaust, but went back to stock lol
Gerb Productions oh dang I’m about to do the same thing to mine. I bought some cheap catback exhaust and without the silencer it’s super ricey, like a weed eater hitting a pop can. The silencer makes it a bit better but in vtec it gets all ricey again. Might try what you did and see how it’s sounds.

I took mine off on my FA5 a few days before I put the Skunk2 Megapower R on it... honestly it sounded just as good, just the catback fine tuned the sound so it wasn't as raspy. Honestly though, be careful with having it dump under your car, my friend ended up getting a cracked bumper bc the heat build up was too much for it (this on a miata however). Otherwise, its sound good, just a hair raspy, but it's free!!
So it probs sounds similar to mine haha ;)... Exhaust are a lot of money for these cars and i feel like they don't do a crazy amount. I plan on getting a straight pipe welded from muffler back or a nice axle back, but for now, it's muff delete lol
