Volodos is, in my opinion, the finest pianist with the softest touch - not just in this generation, but thru the time that recordings have been made! It is food for the soul…
@Mazzel Tov oh that's not true, Volodos' piano is heavily modified, my piano technician told me about the demands he had before playing here in Prague (Rudolfinum) last November. But that's kinda common thing, it's just not true he plays whatever you give him.
Letś not only praise the grandmaster: lovely, very colorful and very round sound of the instrument, wonderful pianissimo. Of course it takes a real master to produce such sounds, no matter how good the instrument.
Great, more videos of this outstanding pianist whose dazzling technique and sublime musicality never fails to capture our attention and delight our senses. Sheer Schubertian spirit...This is poetry 🌹
I thank God for the profound musicianship of this man. I’ve been listen to him through the years and his exploration of these profound repertoire, as opposed to the virtuosic works that propelled his career, has been so good for the soul.
@@ianboard544 generally i find him to have too much focus on technique and showing off rather than making music sound like music. To me his playing often sounds like banging
@@DJStefandeJong I find this critique very surprising. If anything I've always considered Volodos to always have been the most consummate musician. He eschews showmanship, he has remarked that early on in his career, his agent used to force him to play a lot of the virtuoso show pieces against his will. He even remarked that he found it sad watching younger pianists playing his flashy transcriptions.
Sublime.. the touch!!! so sensitive, and the timing.. the music is breathing … genius ✨🙏🌹

check out Ivan Moravec then :) but yeah, Volodos has everything.
@@geuros moravec's colour in his playing is amazing

Bozhanov is up there too. Volodos has the richer sound though.

Arcadi in socks with Bill Evans on the wall. Magic!!!
It's so enjoyable to watch him playing the piano every time, no matter what he played.💕
There is such economy of motion.
That's special Gift for wonderful Pianist!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Sublime Maravilloso Infinita Gratitud Arcadi Volodos
Best pianist... He is my role model. Always looking up to him
Artiste et pianiste sublime
MERCI
очень тонкая игра...
в ночной тиши, у камина, завораживает
So beautiful!
Bill Evans is also one of Volodos' favourite musicians. This video is wonderful.
Beautiful! Incredible strength and phrasing!
One of the best pianists ever!! No matter what his playing.. always perfect, phrases, sound, touch and intensity musical!!!
Belíssimo! Bravo.
Es un pianista magistral. Asi de simple.
Virtuoso in the truest sense.
Nunca escutei essa música e agora já me encantei 🤩🤩👏👏👏
tumore
Superlative musicianship, and technique, of course.
The eternity!
We need to hear more from him
schöne Sendung
that d334 has to be the most beautiful minuet i've ever heard
Sublime
Quando un genio ama ciò che fa totalmente nasce il capolavoro, formidabile il tocco,la maturità.
So natural and ...distinguished, reference!
nice
The technical stuff he does is "cute", but I very much prefer him on more subdued, cerebral works. This is splendid, actually.
Do you know his Mompou? It's amazing.
Whose poster is on the wall?? Mesmerizing interpretation ❤️
Is he at his own home? And the great Bill Evans watches to Volodos' back! Precious!
I'd also love to know if this is his home. I know Volodos loves Evans but it would be too cool to know that he has an entire wall dedicated to Bill 😍.
Oh no, this is “Hinves pianos” showroom in Madrid, Spain

The second “minuet” (in this case it is impossible to write this word without quotes) is, rather, a sarabande.
May I ask where you found this recording?
I've downloaded it directly from CZcams in Sep 2020, but then it disappeared, so I just uploaded it again
@@sbarnea when this record was made?
@@Delicatamente I don't know, but I suppose in 2020
@@sbarnea thank you
Thanks very much
To my mind, there are hundreds of pianists with a soft touch, even young persons in the conservatoires.
You've listened to all of them and still lack the cognitive skills and aural awareness to hear the difference? Poor mind indeed.
I'm not much of a fan of Volodos but this was very good.
I'm curious what you don't like.

@@DJStefandeJong That may have been true of him when he was younger - I don't think so much now.
@@ianboard544 okay then i might give him more chances when he comes across my path then. LangLang also improved loads recently.

What kind of piano is he playing. His Schubert tone is too soppy for me, and it could be the piano itself.
Obviously a Steinway
Ужасно- приторный инструмент...
Не без привкуса битого стекла...
Механистическое исполнение...
Шарманка - таки в наличие...
Нудно слушать
Sicuramente insieme a trifonov che va al secondo posto è il maggior pianista vivente
