At Dumaguete LTO i was told I need 6 full months of visa ahead of the current date to apply for a Philippine drivers licence.As a tourist it seemed like the 6 month extension was no longer available.
If you plan to buy a used motorbike - go around dealerships and check if they have returned-repossesed motorbikes. They have very good deals on repos sometimes. And dealer has the paperwork and registration paid for. Or buy from another expat who has papers. DO NOT BUY ANY MOTOBIKES FROM FB or locals. They never never never the owner - and their registration is always expired. Dont believe a single word a private seller says - its always a scam. Also you don't need to change the registration in your name. As long as registration is valid/paid for and you have a sales letter that's enough and nobody ever checks and you can resell it later also on sales contract no problem.
what is the deal with all these old guys never getting decent dental work in the Philippines? All they all broke? Do they have no decent concept of self-care?
Congratulations on the girlfriend! You will enjoy Borocay, I found my self gravitating. towards station 3. A little more quiet. But the water is amazing.
Just an FYI the ACR card is not mandatory, got mine with out the ACR card but did have to provide my passport showing I have been in the country for over 6 months.
i got my DL in 3 months no acr card needed just a dr visit i even got my b b1 and b2 endorsements no idea why :) my visa renew takes more than about 5 min its a in and out in cebu
your looking a bit more settled in phils now,having your girlfriend has helped i think,buying a bike is good idea.traveling around phils and making vlogs will be a winner on here.reguler guy started doing that and his views shot up, but he kinda messed up his life there.tc bud and enjoy.👌

I was going to move to Iloillo or outer Cebu..after leaving Makati .. Cebu seems the winner with the airport..2 hours Bohol and middle of the Philippines.. I'm gonna buy a adv 160 Honda.. 160k and do as u are.. 😉 Southern Leyte for sure

As my title indicates I'm a Harley Man.20 minutes to go 4 miles isn't for me.Here in Texas 65 miles is an hour riding time....and that includes a 10 minute break to smoke a cig.Wife is from Cebu and I asked her what I would do in the PI (been there many times). Relax on a beach. Hate it.Go fishing:bays are over fished and mostly barren. I don't drink. I'm faithful as an old hound dog and don't cheat on my wife. Food is nothing but something to keep me alive.Crowds: hate 'em. Worst of all: equatorial sun will cause me to have 1st bordering on 2nd degree burns. 2 meds I take make me heat and sun sensitive. That sux btw.Recent 9 hour Harley ride resulted in severe sunburns on my upper arms. One spot still not healed.Been 2 weeks.

But I guess you gotta get some use out of them , after all you have a closet full of caps anyway. Heh Brent here's my Question. How do you get access to money over there? ATM Card? Yes. Ive got an ATM Card but i just use my Charles Schwabb account. I get reimbursed all charges. Water temps are cool. Not cold not warm. Cool! Hope this helps. Thx for watching

That's the first time I hear about it. May be its something just in that province. Never ever I heard anyone even checking anything about bikes. Most bikes in PH are registered for other people like if you buy a used bike you drive with old registration no one changes it until its expires.

I highly recommend Lao if you decide to go. Incredible scenery, if you like beautiful mountainous scenery you will absolutely love Lao.

To get your drivers licence converted to a filipino one in Duma LTO, get there early and plan on a full day there, its a long process of waiting.
