  • The businesses on the south end of this Litchfield Park commercial block are housed in a structure over 100 years old. In 1943 a blaze started inside, engulfing the building in smoke. The volunteer fire department responded promptly, quickly deploying their hoses and saving the building. Others pitched in to help too, rescuing the cash register and moving hair salon equipment outside. Eventually, the building was rebuilt and today, the spirit of that history lives on. Look inside the Old Pueblo Restaurant you can still see parts of the original adobe walls that survived the fire of 43’. #historicfire #vintagefiretruckPhotos courtsey the @pwlitchfieldheritagecenter
