- I've heard about Supertubos my entire life, but I never thought I'd get a chance to surf this world class wave or experience the culture surrounding this amazing surf spot. Man, I love your videos (been a subscriber for a while now) - So much stoke and such great vibes ! Always go for the dream ! I am a long time surfer (63 yrs old now) but no longer surf because of health complications. I have to say Jordan deserves HUGE props for being such a trooper on her honeymoon. I was in Fiji when my 2nd son was born and they said I would never accumulate enough (marriage) points to overcome that and get back to positive territory. You, my friend, might be in the same boat ! Lol Keep the stoke, and big congrats on marrying an obviously very cool, great woman !

Love peniche first time I surfed super tubes it was onshore 4-5 ft beach break straight onto the sand nobody out apart from me n my mate I was shitting my pants getting bk in I’d never seen anything like it before but was straight of the plane and needed it but got it perfect a few times I camped over the road for 3 months surfed molles a few times but crowds were mental local took us all up n down the coast surfing absolutely loved the place the people the bars the ladies viva Portugal n peniche ❤️oh and the wild dogs on the dunes near supers that chased us and the lynx out bk of the park that stalked us most mornings x

@@ismaelrodas2206 absolutely coming from the north east of UK it was a total shock but loved the place still do been back a few times but the lynx was funny I’d never seen one before never mind be stalked by one on the way to surf 😂the only bad thing was when we got drunk in bars they thought we were footy hooligans from the UK until they got to know us and we were chilled but it’s a stigma we brits carry in Europe from all the idiots 🤷🏻♂️

My wife even asked why the boys were there LoL and then I reminded her.....We honeymooned in St. Lucia and a TS had pigeon point going off not to mention my hotel had a "secluded cove" and had 3' footers peeling around the point for 4 straight days. And.........I brought my fly rod and slammed tarpon on the last night until I was out of leader and tippet and down to my fly line. Haha. Subertubos for the dream!

the lisbon-cascais train is so used by surfers that the train company puts some stickers on the carriages that can accommodate the surfboards to the turists in the summer. I've actually never seen one, but I just use the train in non-turisty hours
Nice that you got to put in a session at SuperTubos... I wish you'd had more luck on the conditions. But I guess that's another one of those "for the dream" to continue kinda things.
Unclear if you've left yet. Hoping that you can still squeeze in a session at that Wedge wave, wherever that is... (Ericiera?)
are you still in peniche? Almagreira is a great spot to explore! It is next to baleal, but not many tourists know of this place.

Just curious: I lived in Greece many years ago for about 6 months and would be really curious to know where you surfed. Can understand boat wake surfing from the huge ships that sail out to the islands from Piraeus but ??
@@dougwalmer8620 There's multiple places that mainly on the Ionian side. Some spots for reference are Lakouvardos, Zagka, Kalo Nero, Kastro and there's plenty more. They mainly work with NW/SW swells.

Poor Z. Makki, he looked worked...Great idea about hitting all the stops but try to plan it so you get "Da Kine" waves. Although you did surf SuperTubos had 'For the Dream' fun doing it, it wasn't really doing what it's so famous for....Barrelling!!

If he surf small close out like he did in Supertubos, no risk with Mundaka locals.
Because surf it when it is pumping big in Mundaka, he may just hassle k....ks, that don't surf it when it is on....

It's a shame you didn't get the perfect conditions at the various spots you surfed. You would have become "addicted" to the Portuguese waves. At the end of winter and during spring you will find the best surfing days around here. Anyway, it was great that you came here for your honeymoon. Maybe you'll catch better waves next time...
