Conor's always been against the music industry. He made his first record at 13. He's a fucking genius. None of his bands have been played on the radio, which include Commander Venus, Park Ave, Bright Eyes and his newer stuff. Anyone that says anything bad about him doesn't know what good music is. He's a fucking prodigy

I mean, I think it quite literally is a punk band by every measure (folk punk to be exact).
Or at least was, they kinda toned down the politics on their last album.
THis performance was just a rollercoaster from beginning to end, I absolutely loved it.
I waited outside the venue for 2 hours waiting for this show. I miss those days.

It looks like one of the videos I always watched in the morning when I was in 11th grade and struggled with my practicle training in an old people's home... I was so scared to go there (not because of the old people but my scary and unfair boss), so I always got up an hour before I actually had to get ready only to watch a bunch of selected Bright Eyes videos (including this one, I think) and after that I felt more like I could manage to get through this day.
So, thanks for uploading this again! =)

I think Conor is ok. Honestly. I go to the concerts. Everybody talks about things. But I go to the shows. I'm not friends with him but he seems fine. He's a musician, they are on film all the time.

Lauren Anderson not only has he grown up but probably this vocal style fried him out. Listen to the newer Desaparecidos record and your can see he can’t sing the same. His lyrics are still so great. Just his delivery has altered. I think napalm and overdue off of salutations are still very damn good tries at songs like this. Just gotta appreciate your artists growing and developing. The Beatles first record was nothing like there last and that shouldn’t make you mad
