He’s definitely right about how difficult it is to make it in the EuroLeague. That’s literally the NBA of the East… I played overseas in the Eredivisie (Dutch basketball league) Liga ACB and then the NBB I was one of those dudes that was like “well I know I ain’t gone make it to D1 star or NBA so I’ll just go overseas … not knowing shit and was woken up to a whole new world….watched Rubio kill from the Bench in ACB when he was 15… he got to the euros like 2 years later…. It’s serious ball over there and a lot of people here in America do think they just gone Breeze into some money overseas.… when I tell folks I played overseas I always give the caveat that it wasn’t Euros lol
Very interesting commentary. And people in the US should go and see a game in Athens when Olympiakos play Panathinaikos in the local derby or Belgrade when Partizan meet Red Star or worse still in Istanbul (Turkey) when sides like Fenerbahce meet their local counterparts. Mayhem on and off is an understatement.

Definitely. I'm rethinking of going and giving it a try again myself. My agent back out on me after my car accident. I hate I lost that hunger because I love the game so much. Not about to be another waste of talent. Definitely would love to hear all you guys insights and experiences.

Overseas and Euro League aren't the same thing. Any D1 player can play overseas and earn $20K per year. But yes, I agree, the Euro League is special.
