I will always be jealous that CA has Toys'R'Us still available to them. I'm fortunate to have local toy retailers around, but most of the time I'm stuck hunting at Targets and Walmarts. Thanks for always sharing your Lego hunts!

I'm living in Germany and we don't have a Toys'R'Us no Walmart and no Target 😂 I'll have to buy stuff in the lego store (but it's an hour away and a pretty small store and expensive) or I go to smyths toys. It's like toys but a other name and no giraffe 😂 I like this store cause none of the lego their selling is on the normal price 😂 everything is cheaper. Or I have to watch online (sometimes I go to a store where they have new and old lego but not the old lego I want 😂 I wish we had a store with older lego)

Something you could do to get golden figures would be to get hogsmead set and that would fit in a winter village

Love that you got the Bounty! I built it over the summer with my 6 year old and it has a ton of cool features. He did 90% of it himself, but it had some technic components that his little fingers struggle on. Looking forward to your review.
Have you thought about using the Harry Potter parts to make a tan Castle for your Medieval scene?
To answer your question about how you get your hands on that mini figure statue I would just check the back of the store often near their trashcan because companies always throw out their promotional stuff and stuff like that when they are done with it, in fact when my local radio shack went out of business me and my dad drove over there to check out the sale. They only had like two shells left because that’s all the products they had left and our friend who works at the store said if you wanted any shelves they are outback waiting for trash day. We got tons of desks and shelves all kinds of stuff that we use in our storage room, kind of hilarious.

the polyjuice set has alternative faces on the back and aditional hair pieces for the two, so they can work as Crabbe and Goyle in their correct slytherin costume.

Awesome, look forward to the CMF wall. Also great choice! The chamber of secrets set doesn't really display that well on its own, although the minifigs in that set are really cool. The polyjuice set I think is worth getting, you get cat-face Hermione + Harry and Ron have the alternate faces of Crabbe and Goyle.

With the Harry Potter sets the 2 that you should get is the main castle cancel, and the bathroom. Those those are the best 2 sets and they connect and are really cool
I was having the same thoughts about the Harry Potter sets too! I also decided to get the from brick link
If you get the HP sets and don't want to build them, create your own castle out of the turrets and bricks from them, you'll need a competing castle/kingdom to offset your grey one. Sell the minifigs in your Bricklink store.

As a former LEGO employee I´d say ask the manager in Toys´R´Us if you can buy the big display LEGO Fig.
It is a promotional item and the stores depending on the region will just order another one.

Feel like on BrickLink those minifigures end up costing almost as much as the sets :| Might as well just buy the sets and either keep the bricks or sell the sets without the figures.

Yeah I’ve actually collected all of this Harry Potter wave because I really liked the sets and a bonus was to collect all these golden figures. Now that the Hogwarts icons thing came out I don’t think I’ll finish my gold figure collection, oh well. I mean yeah I got $250 but I really don’t care for that thing I don’t know where I’d put it I don’t know where it would fit in with my displays it’s just doesn’t fit with anything I got and I just I don’t really like it at all so unfortunately I’m not able to collect all the gold’s because I really don’t want that set.

I would use white baseplates rather than grey. The Minifigures would stand out better against a white background.

I have one of those large lego figures from a toys r us! They didn’t want it anymore so my old roommate got it for me for free, now on eBay they sell for ridiculous prices 😅
Also check Michael’s/Joann/any craft store near you in Canada. They tend to have a selection of Lego most of the time on Discount!!

Doesn't the HP bathroom set have reversible faces that makes Crab & Goyle? So you aren't getting duplicated figures and Hermione has the cat head so maybe re-look at getting that one then the rest on brick link? I need the 3 in the icons set but it's out of budget. At least I have 6.
You need gray base plate plenty in oz. My house mate got $450 werth for my Lego city but got rong size big gray one s an white he sent them back. Crazy to spend that much $ at one s. Got blue one s. I need cream base plate more green one. An gray. Now. To. Shops seem to not have much in shops if do. High price k mart sale them few buck s cheeper in sale but thay seem to sale quick .as we was in lock down an shipping delays. But hope it pic s up. More stock for Lego section.
Like the video. Don't think adding the CMF figures to grey base plates will enhance the wall. The CMFs are too small to make out on video so it will look like a grey wall with spots. That's just my opinion. Love everything else.
The Poly juice mistake Lego set tht comes with Ron and Harry if u would of looked on bk u can turn them into Crabbe and goyle so u wouldn't of ended up with them twice if u would of bought them

None of my local stores have green baseplates and it is a pain. The closest Walmart to my work had only 3 white baseplates when I checked it out last time. I normally have better luck at my local target because not only are they normally better stocked but having a friend who works there doesn't hurt to know what they have also.
