Couldn't agree more, Paul is an absolute stud!! I stopped in a couple weeks ago with my kids, was intown to watch KC play the Raiders. The shop is amazing, Paul took us for a little tour of the office, got to see a little bit behind the scenes. And he spent the better part of 2 hours bringing out different boots till we found the perfect fitting boot for me. I have never been anywhere else where you can try so many different premium brands and compare them side by side. When your dropping $300-500 on anything, it makes the decision much less stressful.
Hey Heber! Thanks for sending this message. It's awesome to hear! Stop by and see us again. 👊
Damn man, I turn this on to listen to on the way to lunch thinking I’m gonna hear about boots and now I feel guilty about going to Giovanni’s for a plate of lasagne.
Another great podcast 👍🏻
I had no idea about blisters turning into a possible serious medical issue, good tip Trail.
Great video. I have kenetreck’s for hunting and another pair for work and love them. The work boots I wear the soles out in a year but kenetreck rebuilds them fairly cheap and they come back as good as new. They are a great boot.
I know you can't do every boot... any idea what flex profile you would give Asolo Fugitive GTX? I have had them for years and just wondering what you would call that flex - guessing 3.
Do any of you all have experience with Irish Setter boots? Specifically their Elk Tracker?
We do not, unfortunately.
I have a big issue with my kenetreks mountain guides and the heel pocket being too big. I have ordered some sheep feet insoles to help fix it but don’t know how much of an impact it will have. My feet are very bony and I also have issues with it cutting off circulation and causing nerve damage on top of foot. Considered having Kenetrek add more padding to the tongue of the boot. Welcome any advice or experience people may have with this products and issues, along with any boot alternatives you have in mind. Thanks!
Awesome boots Love this thanks for the information 🙏 ❤ 😍 💖
Good video. Good discussion.
I have a request that would probably help a lot of customers and yourselves.
Your boot flex scale has proven to be extremely helpful. If you guys created another scale system that would indicate which boots are generally better suited for certain foot shapes I feel that would be very helpful too. Such as narrow, high arch, low arch, wide foot, flat foot etc.
Thanks. Keep it up.
Hi! Thank you for this feedback. We truly appreciate any suggestions to make the boot-fitting process easier for our customers. We sent this over to our team to look into. They will work on getting a fix to make this better for our customers. 💪
Lol how funny would it be to walk by a nail salon and see Lorenzo getting a pedicure 😂
He’s not getting soft… he’s getting strategic
Super funny!! And I'd find a way to poke fun at him haha ;)
@@tomascardenasgstrategically soft 😂
Another quick tip is to put some 2toms Blister Shield in each sock if your feet sweat. Also, rub some 2Toms Chafe Defender between each toe and along the front tips of your toes…it will prevent any and all friction and significantly mitigate blisters!!
Every boot I wear is a 10” work boots or hunting/hiking boot always a 10”. Also the lowa boots run small. Fit my foot very tight but they run small I almost needed a 14. They are way off of the brannick scale. I’m a 12 on the brannick and I almost need a 14 in the lowa. Kenetrek is true to the brannick measurements
thoughts on schnees beartooth. debating on schnees and zamberlan
Dude! Lorenzo….you have to pay for the guys to go get a pedicure! I’ve only had one. But I almost fell asleep, because it felt so good!
Brady if you wore CRISPI boots you wouldn’t have that problem also on the leather boot subject back in my day we would melt bear grease pour it inside the boot put in the oven until the grease seeped out of the seams then grease the outside and the were 💯 percent waterproof and soft and great to wear😎
Also why hasn’t Neville been on the podcasts he is fucking hilarious 😂
Crispi Laponnias early season, Nevada’s mid season and Wildrocks late season.
There is NOTHING that will shut a hunt down faster than a boot/blister problem....28:30, blood poisoning, you mean blood stream infection? Yikes, do tell that story please.....laces that have kevlar, sweet., Lawson makes some good ones, put on all my mountain boots now...Custom orthotics, game changer for me (and people can often use fsa/hsa account from work to help pay for)....Brady before/after pedicure, that's a reel right there!
Why don’t you guys carry crispi but you have a video sitting down with them going through their boots? Thanks and great content as always.
Thanks for reaching out. Yeah, so we don't carry Crispi boots anymore. The US distributor recently placed us on hold without explanation. It’s unfortunate the US distributor got in the way between us supporting the Italian-owned family Crispi business. Our decision going forward is to continue to offer quality boots from other brands such as Hanwag, Lowa, Zamberlan, and Salewa.
What are some of the things that could make leather boots shrink?
Boots can shrink for a number of reasons. If you get them dirty and don't clean them off, the mud could make things start to crack and shrink. If you leave your boots in a hot vehicle or if you try to flash dry your boots off and place them next to a wood-type stove all night. Overall, there's probably not one correct answer on why boots shrink, but just keep care of your boots and they will take care of your feet.
@@GOHUNT thats helpful thank you. You gave me some good maintenance things to consider.
Huge props to Lorenzo real men get Pedicures once you get one it’s a game changer.
I’ve known a lot of real men in my life and family and not one of them would even think of getting a pedicure. Your in work boots 14 hours a day you don’t even see your feet enough to even think about needing a pedicure
what are you thoughts on custom insoles
Custom insoles are great if you can afford them! There's some great options out there when it comes to custom.
I'm going Team Trail in this one. I'll mix in some Cheetos and charms, feel just fine. Shits are normal size lol
There are plenty of good questions in these comments and it seems you only answer a very small portion. Please try and answer more questions people have. Its a measure of your quality of service etc.. thanks.
Totally get what you're saying, and we try our best with comments, keep in mind a quick call to our shop team is the best way to get some gear questions answered. A quick look through, and there are only two questions that slipped through the cracks. Both have been answered.
@GOHUNT Excellent!!, I appreciate the call-in information.
Just curious what you don’t carry crispi any more? @gohunt
Hi Gabriel! Sorry to say that we won’t be restocking Crispi boots. The US distributor recently placed us on hold without explanation. It’s unfortunate the US distributor got in the way of us supporting the Italian-owned family Crispi business. Our decision going forward is to continue to offer quality boots from other brands such as Hanwag, Lowa, Zamberlan, and Salewa.
Awesome thanks! I’ll keep my business with you guys! Looks like the hardscrabble hiker is next. Thanks!
I’m exactly like trail I love my sugar. I make the best damn chocolate chip cookies you can imagine I just melts in your mouth I know it’s bad but man it taste so good for a few minutes. Also the kenetrek mountain extremes are the best in my opinion. Their stuff enough but not too stiff. And their leather it’s way better than this new synthetic shit
Why’d you stop carrying Crispi?
They’re just social media influencer boots.
@@drewolm Haven't tried them have you?
@@drewolm respectfully, that doesn't answer the question 😂
@@tomascardenasg You're correct. Its just sarcasm. I have no idea why.
@@cquilico7 Yes, I have. I thought they sucked. Narrow, very uncomfortable and the build quality and longevity lack compared to similar boots of a comparative price.
