another great review raj, just wondered what your experience of the penhaligon's shops in london was like, staff at the cambridge store are super nice, and are always really generous when it comes to giving away samples

The first review I saw of this scent was by Katie Puckrick. She did mention that it lasts for about 4 hours. I like fresh scents, I'll have to sample this one.

Just tried this one as a sample and find Castile to be not bad but nothing earth shattering. I agree that there are others out there. I'm keen to find out what Blenheim Bouquet, Sartorial, Juniper Sling, and Opus are like. Have you had a chance to try any of these, Raj?

this cologne is absolutely impressive and super refreshing, lasts forever on my skin 12 plus hours, I guess it does depend on your skin and chemistry ! 5 Stars for this cologne.

Great review man!...I smelled endymion and it was an ok nice smelling fragrance...I already have mugler cologne and I liked a lot prada infusion d´homme...is castile a better smelling cologne?...too old school like sartorial and stuff like that...I would hate it if it is too classy, thanks for any comment looking to blind buy this one...

Hey, Castille is more fresh. Like Mugler cologne in style. Definitely not old fashioned. Worth sampling.

By the way, have you tried Esprit du roi or Bayolea?, is Castille a nicer and better smelling fragrance?, thanks

+RaciocinioPlease I think I like them all equally. Bayolea is really nice but I felt like it would smell better on my dad. It's not dated but has that mature classy gentleman feel. Haven't properly tested Esprit but like it on paper.

thanks a lot, I already own bayolea (SOD) and I do get that classy vibe...nut is is not as pungent as in sartorial, I will have to pick blind between esprit du roi and castille, thanks

Thanks Raj for excellent review. Most of Penhaligon's frag. has longevity issue.
    May be because of EDT.

Good review Rajiv and not much to disagree with there. It seems to last a wee bit longer on me than yourself which is why I find it a very credible alternative to NP or even Acqua di Parma because at the end of the day....its a classic cologne fragrance.
Castile - its one of the medieval regions/kingdoms of Spain, around Madrid area that basically became Spain as we know it now when it merged with the other kingdoms.
Btw there is a Spanish baby/childs cologne that smells very much like this!

Penhaligon is not an expensive brand, so some shortcomings are expected.
