  • Calumet, Michigan. Often refereed to as...Copper Town U.S.A. is a beautiful village located on the Keweenaw Peninsula, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Even though I live in the UP, I was still amazed at the snow of Calumet.
    ********************************************************************
Welcome to my channel, Life in the UP. My name is Angela and I live in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula, the U.P. Life in the UP is about more than our winters, which can be long and harsh, but so beautiful. I love to bake and I may share recipes. I also love to travel and I plan to take you along. Thanks for joining me on this journey.

It has been two years since I shared this video, and found it confusing that you would say we sounded gleeful about closed churches, so I watched it again. I believe you have misunderstood us. Calumet is a lovely town with beautiful church buildings. We love to see old buildings, especially from the inside, if possible, which is why we went into the restore. We were not gleeful over the closure of churches. I will admit that we were almost gleeful over the sight of so much snow. While we live in the Upper Peninsula ourselves, and are used to dealing with a ton of snow, we do not get the snow that Calumet gets and found it fascinating. Thanks for watching and commenting. Best of luck to you in your retirement in Calumet. If you record your own video of the town, I would love to see it.
