Imagine the call: "Hi this is Brian Eno one of the greatest producers/musicians of all time, here's David Bowie one of the greatest artists/musicians of all time, we need your help to make a legendary one-in-a-million-song that will remain relevant for decades...no pressure"
What a speaker! In almost everything he says, Mr Fripp comes across as one of the most interesting people on the planet. There's the oft' present twinkle of humour and mischief. And that's before we come to a well of intelligence that runs deep.
Robert Fripp is a great guy and a brilliant guitar player! I wish he had played guitar on Bowie's The Next Day too (as it was rumoured that he would). That would surely have made that album even better.
Awesome, 3 days! Wow legendary parts too, especially Heroes. I was fortunate enough to see David 3 times and Robert 3 or 4 times, once solo at Madam Wongs in China town LA and the others with King Crimson. You guys have made some of my favorite music, cheers and thank you!
"Little guitarist from Dorset"?? That has to be the most modest comment I've ever heard.
No wonder why "Heroes" song is a masterpiece of music. Brian Eno + David Bowie + Robert Fripp = art melodies

Robert Fripp IS First Class.
Robert Fripp playing his 🎸 for David Bowie's heroes ...... No wonder why that song is a masterpiece. I think it's one of the best songs ever......
Fripp was the right man for the job. "Heroes" is epic! Great to hear the story straight from the horses mouth as it were. RIP David.
What a brilliant man. Have loved him from "Baby's on fire" to the Roches and Flying Lizards and beyond. Just another part of my Teenage Wildlife..
Lucky to study with this guy back in the 80's a genius and a true Gent
Robert has the best of accents.
"You have to be quick"

'Blackout' has some of my favorite Fripp guitar playing.
Thank you for posting this, Patricia! Robert, David and Brian were certainly an amazing team! Cheers, Charles in Chicago!
And what an accomplished performance you gave Mr. Fripp! A masterclass in hairy r&r guitar!
Thank you for this Patricia! Loved the "little guitarist from Dorset" comment!

Classic! I'd love to hear more details of this story.
"Dr." Fripp!!! One of the best ever!
One of the few musicians I'd like to have lunch with
What I find fascinating about Robert is that he goes into incredible detail whereas I tend to edit my words dramatically

They're some classic guitar parts... The song 'Heroes' has that distinctive Fripp high drone.
Great Bob!
