Marco Andretti is awesome by far my favorite driver since Jeff Gordon retired from NASCAR. Really looking forward to 2018!

.....Wow you went from a guy (Jeff Gordon) who has 81 poles, 93 wins, 4 time champ, 3 time Daytona 500 winner in Nascar.
.....To a guy (Marco Andretti) who has 5 poles, 2 wins, a best champ rank of 5th place, and no Indy 500 wins in Indycar. That must be really tough for you.
.....My favorite Nascar driver was 22 pole winner, and 28 race winner Carl Edwards. Now I pull for Chase Elliott, but it's not the same. In Indycar I've been a Ryan Hunter Reay fan since 2008 in Indycar. RHR has 7 career poles, 18 career wins, 2012 championship, and the 2014 Indy 500.
      Anyway have a great/wonderful day.✌️😉👍

Looks like Marco was never the same after that shootout lost to Hornish in 2006.. like day and night 😕

Early on, Marco looked like a prodigy at the wheel. Rather soon though, he faded to a mid-pack runner but he always seemed to show up at Indy and make a great run. I always looked at this as perhaps, a laziness on his part. He was simply saving everything up for that one event. Here in the past couple of years he has even faded there. He seems to have fallen into a rut or malaise about his racing. He is at the tracks in person but that is about the extent of it. Something is clearly wrong and only he knows what it is. I truly do believe he has the ability to beat anyone out there on any given day.

I just want to say Marco: Don't worry about the past, Just work hard and don't take stress because of expectations from other people.

I wish this kid all the best. I've been a fan of Andretti for a long time, watching Mario and especially Michael race when I was a youngster. I honestly don't know if he wasn't gifted with as much talent or what. But I'll be rooting for him and the Andretti racing team for a long time. Hey, I like underdogs. It would be too easy to be a chevy/Penski fan :p

Marco allowed Hornish to get closer to him during the last turn, one can only assume Marco slowed down just enough for Hornish to get close since these Indy cars lose down force as they approach the car in front. I knew then he just didn't have the win or die attitude of an Unser, or even his dad or grandfather.

Marco would have nothing if it wasn't for his name. I like Marco as a driver but its a shame he'll never live up to the expectations or come close to what his family has accomplished in the past.
Even if he goes on a tear and wins many races and a championship (which is likely not going to happen) he'll always be in the shadow.
It's been 10 years.. 10 years, 2 wins and countless subpar to terrible finishes. Andretti Autosport should maybe consider moving on and going into a differant direction with a younger talent from Indy Lights or even an IndyCar driver trying to look in. The Andretti equipment is not bad by any stretch! They are a championship caliber team and they've proven it.

I feel for him. He had bad luck throughout his career and 2 wins isn't that impressive either, but I don't think that he is untalented. Marco had a solid 2013 season. But this season has been really bad.

You said exactly what I was thinking. He's gotta feel bad. He puts up a good face, and maybe he's cool with being "not great", but I doubt it.

A few years ago, I still thought Marco had potential to become a great driver(he did occasionally put in really strong performances, such as some of his races at Indy). But now that he's pushing 30, with very little to show for it. I'm no longer that convinced.

It's gotta be tough huh? I mean, he must of felt a great weight of expectation to be great.

@Trusten Baker, Yeah, it can't be an easy burden to carry. But with all the money he's making, it's hard for me to feel too sorry for him. I mean, have you seen his house?.

2 wins in twelve years. That's almost as bad Kyle Petty. Name is what got Marco his ride. He is no better than a sub par driver.

I have been to 13 races in the last three seasons and I have only listened to Marco throughout the entire race. He takes it very seriously. It is not just a hobby he is out there to win not just to be out there. Wish him the best in 2020, go 98!

Indy Car is full of sub par drivers. There are only five or six drivers that actually have talent. The rest are sub par in sub par equipment.

Danica won one race can't win in nascar she should have been gone long time ago all she did was wreck cars

    • @ellisjames7192
      @ellisjames7192 Před 5 lety +1

Danica should have stayed in IndyCar. She had a better chance of winning another race there than she ever had in NASCAR. She never had any chance of winning in NASCAR unless lightning stuck.
