What a money grab. Been roofing for twenty years personally and my family has been doing it for damn near 80 years. You do not need all that garbage. Shingles keep water out.
Install them right and you wont have a problem. Sadly any jerk with a truck and free time can call himself a roofer these days. The day I got to tape plywood seems is the day I quit.

I will definitely reinforce my roof to help protect it from any future hurricanes because after nicole 10 of my shingles had fallen from the roof of my house in dunedin, but I was so shocked that I did not see a storm surge because I was expecting like a possible 5 foot storm surge the way I was predicting but there was not 😐

😂🤣 what a laugh! No homebuilders will do that, no insurance will pay for that on a re roof. Worse yet are these stupid ridge vents that are the current code. The roof contractor in our upscale country club isn't using felt underlayment he's using thing plastic sheeting.
