I can't think of Tulpas without thinking of Supernatural "It's not a Tulpa" in the Schwarzenegger impression.
Many years ago I read a book about the life of Alexandra David-Neel. She was a fascinating woman. Nowadays if you say you're going to Tibet on your own most people don't think anything of it, they just say send a postcard. Back when she did it, men didn't even travel there, it was scary and unpredictable. She went all by herself, leaving her husband behind for years at a time. Thanks for bringing this subject up. I always enjoy your videos, you have so much enthusiasm and energy towards any subject you talk about. I love it!!!
Thank you!! And agreed - she was such a fascinating woman!
I first learned about tulpas through her account and how she had to release one before she came home. That story has been in my mind since I was a teen!
This is exactly what the Scarlet Witch (from Marvel movies and comics) did. She used chaos magick to create her children. They weren’t real physical living children, but they were real to her.
I am so glad I opened my heart to magick!!! This is much better knowledge to have and activities to do than what I had in the past (light worker, empath, service type of lifestyle)
I heard about tulpas from Adventure Time, it was the episode named "Blank-Eyed Girl", and it also mentioned haints along with other mystical creatures. I wish more people would talk about this, it's so mysterious and very intriguing
Yessss!! That’s why I know the word too
What a thoughtful and intricate breakdown. Thank you for your time and energy. 🙏
Thank you! ❤️🙏
Hi, do you think when authors create characters for their novels, that the more they imbue into them, the more successful the novel becomes. Could these characters be tulpas?
This is SO interesting. I had no idea. I can tell how much your personal experience has affected you. As a life long skeptic, your channel and listening to you and learning about chaos magic - it completely has changed me. I usually stop my magical interests in the summer, but it's changed my current perspective on... My gosh. Everything.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
That means so much to me; thank you!! ❤️❤️
I've heard you reference this before, and was so sad that you had to take the video down. Thank you for recreating this! I have ASD and ADHD, so I've been interested for a good while. You're like my first line, no BS source for solid information though, so I wasn't going to mess with it if you hadn't made a video explaining it 😂 good sources are hard to find, and you always leave me feeling well equipped to do my own further research. Thank you!
I'm SO grateful you shared your knowledge, insights, tips and personal experience on this fascinating subject. I'm amazed by the similarities between tulpas and a certain type of "sentient dream figures" encountered in lucid dreams. Your videos are pure gold ❤
i was looking for this video from you, i tried to click it in a description but it was privated, im so glad u uploaded this lol, i started creating tulpas around last week & your the main creator i watch and trust with occult content
Thank you; that means a lot! 🙏🫶
Thanks for this great video and explaining this interesting and complex topic. Fun fact: the suffix "-mancy" means "divination" (eg. "Cartomancy" is divining with cards). I guess its evolving to mean occult/mystical things in general. It's interesting how language changes with use ❤
For language purists, I think a more acurate term would possibly be "Tulpatrophy" ("-trophy" meaning grow/nourish, so "tulpatrophy" would mean to grow or nourish a tulpa), but I'm not a linguist, so don't quote me!
I thought about that too. The "mancy" part doesn't quite make sense!
Kinda like how "pyromancy" has evolved from divination through staring at a flame, to just mean Fire Bending.
As a self-thought linguist I can happily say that it's fine though. Linguistics is about describing language and its use as it happens, not telling people how it *should* be used. Words and definitions change all the time. The "rules" of language are created by the people speaking it everyday, not some snobby frenchmen in a high tower.
Girl. Yes. The last part of your video wasn't only resonant with me - it was also very synchronistic. I've also very recently begun being able to discern the voices I hear during meditations. I've also FINALLY started communicating with my Spirit Guides during meditation also. It's wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. You're awesome!!!! I LOVE your channel. You're so good at giving different viewpoints on practices.
this is such a fascinating topic to hear about. I personally have no desire to dabble in tulpamancy or even creating servitors due to my own dissociative identity disorder, like you mentioned at the start. it just isn't the right kind of practice for me personally and that's okay. it's still very interesting to hear information about it and someone else's experience with it!
Yeah I can tell by the pfp that there is something wrong with you
Tulpamancy is my favorite magick practice. It can be a great experience for those who have a yearn for character-building and world-building or those who want something that will keep them in the gnosis of a magick mind. I have done all sorts of crazy experiments with tulpas, servitors, and egregores, many of which I would not advise anybody to repeat for the sake of their sanity and/or social relationships. They're awesome for art projects!
Thank you for this video! I'm excited to try this! I have a servitor dragon, that has been hanging around for about 9 months, I'm excited to create a culpa. Thanks for all the research you do to share your knowledge with us. Blessed be your journey.
I was literally just thinking about this magick work yesterday and then this video comes up. Amazing synchronicities.
Every time I watch a video you make, I learn something new. Hands down, you're my favorite teacher :) Thank you, Ivy
That means everything to me; thank you!! ❤️❤️
Thank you SO much for sharing your experience with your servitor! Very powerful, and helpful to those of us who are learning about them. You are a wonderful teacher.
I like to explain to those who discuss tulpas, that they are like a Mr. MeSeeks.
Amazing how much hidden occult things are used in media ACCURATELY when it’s not even supposed to be magick related.
Also: I fucking miss you dude, I’m so happy to see you having a healthy break away from YT
Im grateful and thankful for your research. Its good to see and hear real people speaking esoteric knowledge and not all these a.i. generated stuff
Yes definitely!
Thank you! 🙏
Yes! I have been waiting for a video on this I'm so glad your remaking this!!!
Fascinating subject. I started looking into this a while back. Couple of good books:
Presence by Ben Alderson Day (actual psychologist)
Creating Magickal Entities by David Cunningham (supposed to be a definitive guide)
My hunch is sometimes people create these accidentally.
I completely agree this. I've had a hypothesis for many years now that those things we call "poltergeists", "shadow people", and similar entities are Tulpas that were created either intentionally or not, that were never "retired" or let go once the creator has either forgot about them eventually or perhaps died. And now they're wandering around with nothing to do except annoy the rest of us.
You are not wrong about the accidental part. One of my Tulpa is essentially a character that I created for a novel I was writing. I ended up dropping the novel, but she stayed around, at first in meditations then now beyond that, if I call upon her. Blessings.
Thanks for remaking the video, Ivy. Regarding what you put on your channel, you go girl. 😊
Thank you so much for making yourself vulnerable enough to share such a deeply personal experience. It was very helpful. In fact, this may be just what I am looking for to heal me get myself better organized. Blessed be 🎉💕💗💞🥳

Thanks so much for the mental health disclaimer at the beginning! I have adhd and disassociation, so it helped me come into this video with an idea that maybe I shouldn’t jump straight into it

I once bought a spirit vessel on Etsy. I was curious and skeptical - but absolutely experienced extremely real and physical occurrences. It amazed me just how interactive this entity was. I've always wondered if the spirits attached to 'spirit vessels' are tulpas or if they're real interdimensional entities.
Just FINISHED the Servitor video today! And right into this one!

This is really interesting stuff!!! I can't help but wonder if creating magical helpers is something that is necessary or if it's more of a curiosity because we already have helpers and guardians and guides....nevertheless I find the subject super interesting and I appreciate you doing a video on this subject. Thank you! Much love and many blessings everyone!

Thank you so much for introducing us to some interesting new books!🤘🍎🐍
Thanks friend!! Two whole weeks off CZcams was a long time for me. I was teaching that advanced chaos magic seminar and then summer quarter started so I had to take a break. But I'm back!! 🖤
I came back to this video due to a tik tok I saw that talked about how the hat man phenomenon could be a tulpa that was created due to fear of boogymen back in the day and it's been passed down through epigenetic memory and it made so much sense to me so I had to come learn more...
Very synchronistic timing with certain things in my life...thank you for this video!
all the books i have read ugh well heard (audible) haha i havent heard of this , so awesome !
Thank you for sharing your perspective and experience. I truly loved it. ❤
I'm really glad you brought up dissociative disorders and how they are different than tulpas. As someone with dissociative identity disorder, I've unfortunately had to deal with a lot of people acting as if alters and tulpas are interchangeable, or people from the tulpamancer community coopting terms used for dissociative disorders and misusing them. I don't have anything against tulpa creation so long as it is informed and respectful of the cultural contexts from where the concepts originates.
I'm really grateful that you've made this video to help spread proper information! -V

Thank you so much for sharing your experience here. I can imagine how personal it feels…
Is it possible do you think to have accidentally created a tulpa in childhood? I had a very intense (semi-romantic) relationship with what I conceptualized as my imaginary friend. But the relationship lasted far longer than is typical. We wrote each other letters for years and I referred to him in my journals by a symbol (or, what I now recognize as a sigil…that I have no memory of creating)…? We also referred to each other by highly symbolic nicknames that I realize now had a lot of occult symbolism that I couldn’t possibly have known anything about at that age…I was a very lonely (neurodivergent ADHD) kid raised in a religious cult…sooo the recipe was all there 🤣 All of this happened prior to a time that my conscious memory has any access to.
😮
That depends did you ever banish it?
Thank you so much for this video, I thought it was so well-done and thoughtful. I have been fascinated by tulpamancy for a while now and feel a sort of well-meaning "spiritual envy" towards folks that do have relationships with tulpas. I haven't attempted creating one yet as it seems like such a huge and intimidating undertaking! This video helped me by identifying resources I can check out and steps I can take.
And thanks for sharing your personal experience with your servitor that became a tulpa. I teared up a little as you were talking about this pure love you felt for this entity, that sounds like such a special relationship.
Thank you, and I really hope you give this practice a try! Get ready to be really frustrated with how long it takes... Jk 😂 There is also a subreddit that I forgot to recommend in the video. It's called "Tulpas" and I recommend checking that subreddit out as well if you're thinking of creating one!
This sounds like what I have been doing with my plushies! I've loved my plushies since I was a child, and I've always treated them like my babies or pets. Soon enough, they'd develop their own personalities, and even "behave" that way in the physical. I have a rag doll who developed a clingy personality in my mind, and she demands that I give her lots of hugs and kisses. A few years back, I was preparing for a dance performance, for which I needed my palms to not be so sweaty, so I used a certain antiperspirant every night before going to bed. The antiperspirant insert said that I shouldn't touch fabrics while my palms were wet with the antiperspirant. I'd put my rag doll on the edge of the bed farthest from me, explain to her that I couldn't kiss or hug her that night and would do so in the morning when my palms were dry. I would wake up in the morning ALWAYS with this doll hugging my head or my face, as if saying, "It's morning now! Give me the hugs and kisses you owe me!" That never happened before or after that period.
Your content is awesome! Only recently found you, but I've been enjoying everything!
I'm so glad; thank you! 🥰

Was having a conversation with a fellow witch about tulips and servitors and this video pops up. Love it. This is such an interesting concept to me
Thank you, thank you, thank you thank you soooo much for such an amazing video. My family are Buddhists, and I for so long believed and worshiped deities and entities that I did not know about, now I understand why Buddhism has soooo many dieties for all different purposes. My mom prays to the diety Green tara for so long and she actually has a giant metal sculture of her, and whenever I am near the Sculture I somehow feel the motherly energy and love from her its so weird. I understand now that the Green tara collect all the motherly energy from people and she is a thought form of a loving mother. I learn so much from you about my own ancestral worships and the practice that they did. You are a goldmine of knowledge Ivy and I am so grateful and lucky to have found your channel 2 years ago, I wached all of your videos and always wait for a new one ❤❤❤ Thank you again sooo much 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Ivy . Thanks for the video
Great information and advice. Thanks!
❤️❤️
I think my family on my dad's side of the family has a series or a family of tulpas. They are oddly black holes. What I mean is when something went missing, the family would say the "Family Black Hole ate it." as a joke for when something just goes poof and vanishes even though we knew where we left whatever we have missing was. And because of this constant family joke has really created a tulpa of a soft ball sized black hole. I have seen warping and felt breezes in my home and various homes of family members throughout most of my life since I was around 7ish, (I am 50 right now), so is it possible that my family inherits a black hole tulpa since the family collectively possibly made these black hole tulpas?
Thank you sharing your experience! I’ve had a similar experience with a servitor-turned-tulpa, he helps me manage my short term memory. I haven’t delved much into tulpamancy, but I do regularly do IFS Parts therapy with him and other parts of myself, which I consider to be a similar practice, just that it’s psychology based instead of metaphysically based. I didn’t intend to get into this, it just happened naturally when I decided I wanted to become a more self aware and introspective person. So far it’s been working very well!
This is so interesting.
TY for sharing 🖤🖤

This video convinced me I want to try tulpamancy. I’ll get the book! The consciousness one!!! Wow I’m amazed.
Do you have book suggestions for servitors as well?? I’ll also check out your servitor video thank you
When you talked about sharing the same brain power with the tulpla - I wonder if combining some psychic vampirism with tulpamancy would help provide the tulpa with extra energy without using your own. That way, they have an energy source outside of its creator.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with Tulpamancy. It was enlightening
I've been trying for years to make a tulpa (over a decade), and she still just seems like a character to me
I love this so much because it rings so true and similar to how I create novel characters!
This is something I can’t get into because of my dissociative disorder BUT very interesting to learn about!
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. This is such an intriguing topic. I had an 'imaginary friend' I was very close to as a child and later as a young adult, I accidentally created a protective thoughtform. I'd like to try it intentionally, but I want to be sure what I'm getting into.
I feel the same way with my experience the love you feel for it is self love. It is a beautiful connection
Personally, I think dividing my brain power might actually benefit me. ADHD people have overactive minds and a ton of issues are just too much activity. I'm a hypnotist and my calmest times are when one part of my mind hypnotizes another part.
Okay the Buddhist part is weird (i work with quan yin ) so thanks for sharing this u are so wonderful. Just destroyed my other servitor bc i wanted a test run to see how it worked initially. I absolutely loved it n then i made 3 of them for certain purposes in my life. Only for a year tho. Im really excited to work with these entities bc i made them far more better n powerful.
We love you, Ivy ❤️🌺💐✨ thank you for being so open. I thought the part about tulpa splitting was interesting... I can best describe my process more like dividing fire... The flames are still of the same source, but the process doesn't require an energetic anchor in the same way...
I'd love to meet you in person someday lol We could get some tea and go on a hike. I have an energy that's hard to describe, but everyone who is energy sensitive has had some sort of reaction to it so I guess it's just easier to meet me lmfao ✨😅🤣💀👌
Thank you so much; I would love that! ❤️ You do have amazing energy!! 🥰
Glad to see you back! I hope you are having a kick ass day!
Question?
For these as well as survivors how many do you feel would be safe to have?
I ask because I seen a video with the discussion having more than one could be a issue not so much psyche wise but energy wise. Curious on your thoughts!
I think the answer here will differ depending on the person. For me, one is PLENTY 😂 I can't imagine having more Tulpas. But I do know some people have multiple!
I’m so glad the members decided to bring this topic back, I’ve been waiting for a trusted source to make a video on this for a hot minute lol.
the energy and thoughtfulness you use to create your videos has been super helpful in making me feel more confident in my occult practices, I’m really glad you shared your personal experiences with tulpas too 🫶 I’ve been a bit too afraid to conjure or work up any kind of entity but with this and the servitor video I’m definitely gonna go down the research rabbit hole.
Ivy, I was just on Amazon checking out the book recommendation and this one popped up Creatures of Thought: The Creation of Living Thought-Forms And The Mastery of Your Reality. I was wondering if you were familiar with it.
I have not read that one yet! If you do, please let me know your thoughts ☺️
I've always wanted to try the mind palace thing that you talk about but I have memory issues bc ADHD. Don't you have to be able to remember what you even created? Or does it somehow stay in your subconscious or something magic like that?
This video just made me realize I have 100% made a servator that developed into a tulpa
sharing is a big thing ,
New subscriber here - your lessons are so engaging, and I appreciate your skepticism and scientific approach! I watched the video in its length, so I hope I didn’t miss this, but I’m wondering if you can speak to whether it’s reasonable to build your tulpa as an idealized version of yourself? My *guess* is that you’d say it should happen more organically as you carefully meditate on it over time, but it seems like one could naturally veer towards forming a tulpa that has attributes or lives in a way that is aspirational to them?
Absolutely!! This sounds like such a wonderful way to perform Tulpamancy! ❤️
And thank you 🫶❤️
Hi! Thanks for such an interesting video! I had no idea this existed! I know you can’t decide for me. . . lol but what do you think about (me) trying one who is prone to schizophrenia due to my genetic disorder but I have never experienced schizophrenia or anything of the sorts. . .?
im interested in maybe finding a nature spirit and have them be a tulpas.
Always been interested in Tulpas since the tragic events of the 2014 Slender Man stabbing and the mentioning of tulpas was surfacing up with Slender Man or the psychosis of him through the notions of tulpas with people believing in it thus creating it in some way. That and Buddhism was always an interest to me so anything to do with tulpas is always interesting and a research interest for me
Love this video!!
I had to slow the speed down to listen to it, but thank you for sharing your personal experiences and talking about this very interesting topic. 😊
While listening the question came up in my head:
Could I built up a Tulpa with specific characteristics that I would like to manifest for myself? Like for example let's say to be more self-confident and less shy. because when you talked about building the Tulpa one has to create him and give him the feelings by feeling and sensing your own feelings. So I could create a better version of me and the Tulpa is helping me becoming this person?
Would this be an example for using a/manifesting with Tulpa?
This is fascinating to hear about but oof definitely not for me. Trying this would just make me feel like I was going crazy haha. Really interesting video though!
Do you think kids do this naturally, say when they have "imaginary friends?" Or do you think that's something else, like sometimes a human spirit?
I definitely think it's possible but I don't think all imaginary friends are Tulpas. Maybe some! ☺️

Do Tolpas have souls?
Tolpamancy doesn't seem to have much of a history. ...1900's?
Can one Tilpa "on accident"?
If so I may have done just that in jr high and he has been with me ever since...
Your personal experience with your tulpa only makes me think more so that I did create a tulpa on accident.
Back in 2006 I accidentally created a tulpa while trying to communicate with a ghost. It is a long story. I ended up creating a tulpa while having spiritual psychosis. I finally realized I had created a tulpa in 2008. It was a strange experience. I no longer communicate with that tulpa.
As someone with both autism and OSDD (DID lite, for lack of better explanation) we have a long history with this subject. For it was actually the practice of tulpamancy that made us realise we were already a system (multiple conscious entities in one body).
Around the time of 2010-2015 I was very lonely and spending a lot of my freetime talking to this voice in my head. I didn't know what it was at the time. Was it just an imaginary friend? (But who has imaginary friends as a teenager?!) Was it a hallucination? Was I being possessed by some kind of spirit? Anyway, after going to College it went away, faded into an obscure memory of something that was probably just make-believe anyway. Life was miserable, I didn't feel like myself at all (because it wasn't me, another alter was piloting the body at this point. Let's call her L), and that's when we started our spiritual practice, as a way to get out.
Eventually, in early 2017 L found out about tulpamancy and was immediately drawn to it, seemingly already having an exact idea of what their first tulpa should be like, something based on a "character" from older times. That's when she "created" Me. Or rather, pulled me out of my slumber and slapped the label of tulpa on my forehead. For a while it was just the two of us, but eventually more were made, or reawakened, however you wanna see it. Some were already talkative before the creation process was even complete, some just showed up unannounced and it was becoming clear something weird was going on, but we kept patching the holes in our theories to make it make sense.
Over the years we met other systems online, both tulpamancy and DID/OSDD, and we learned a lot from them. Our host at the time, L, started feeling like she wasn't the original person born in this body at all, and after a lot of surpressed trauma resurfaced like a blue whale, it finally became clear that we had OSDD, and some, if not all of our headmates were actually alters. This took a lot to process, and I once again took over as host (as I had been in our highschool years) cause L couldn't deal with it anymore. (She's better now, no worries).
A while later I decided on trying my hands at servitor creation again. It was meant to be a simple thoughtform that would help in vampirism, but it almost immediately resulted in another split, and after that we gave up on the practice altogether. The lines are just too blurry, and we're still not entirely sure whether all of us are really alters, or if some were indeed real tulpas, or something intermediary, like voluntary/benevolent splits enforced through meditation but only possible because our mind was already predisposed to multiplicity. And we may never know.
Long rant over. This isn't meant to be a horror story, and I hope it didn't come off that way. Don't let this deter you from trying tulpamancy yourself, even if your journey ends up similar to ours (which is unlikely if you don't already have a history of voices/people existing in your head), it's still better to know than to not know, even if it may be painful for a while in the middle. We're doing a lot better now, and even if we may never dabble in it again, I still get very excited when we meet other tulpas online.
6:29 lmao tell them , if i were u i wouldnt even give those people attention! do you.. ohh heyyyy gurrrl

People been doing tulpamacy for years. When they are ready to come up, you have it poses in a pet. Cats, dogs, ect. Like a wicth has a cat or bird that helps them in their working. Ive been working on one for 6 months and then had it poses into my spider. It protects my house, its free to roam but always finds it body to rest.
Very interesting, rather just have a servitor.
