    I really appreciate the video. I like to do these types of things, but I was a little intimated by all the equipment and wires. The battery bundle I purchased comes with minimal installation info for my Yamaha....or at least what i could locate. This video is extremely helpful. Thanks again for taking the time to put this together and post it.

    This is my personal cart and man, I can’t say enough about James Carter. This man is by far one of the nicest, most thorough and customer service driven individuals I have ever met. He knocked it out of the park with this one and I no longer have to worry about my cart dying on me so quick. If you’re interested in getting an Eco Battery, do yourself a HUGE favor and contact James today. You won’t be disappointed!

    What happened to the third wire that you disconnected by the old charging port? What was that for? The grey wire from the charging port?

    Thanks for posting this video. I just installed the same battery on my 2017 Yamaha Drive 2. Your instructions and tips were spot on even for the Drive 2.
    I was really impressed with the ECO battery kit especially the battery meter compared to other lithium battery meters from competitors. The only thing the battery meter is missing is a temperature readout to help prevent charging below freezing.
    I know it has a BMS that should prevent charging when freezing, but I hate relying on interlocks to protect the battery.

    Great video I am about to tackle this conversion. I have to echo another persons question about the additional wire on the charging port. What did you do with it?

    • @chrisphillips4152
      @chrisphillips4152 Před 9 měsíci

      Some additional information on the signal connections coming from the charger would have been valuable. You left out the CAN port connection which is needed for the battery to charge. After a little trial and error I figured that out.

      @Kartznfartz  Před 3 měsíci

      Yep, eco added that feature in after this video was released. I have a video on that also, and I need to figure out how to link that in on some of my older content. Glad you’re on the Eco team!

    Best review I’ve seen yet. Debating for my 2016 EZGO Freedom RXV Limited and a neighbors 2016 Yamaha G29. Eco replied that the battery does not increase speed, but a controller would.
    Both carts currently go 16-19mph, looking for 25-30. What is recommended?

    • @Kartznfartz
      @Kartznfartz  Před 9 měsíci

      While the light weight of the EcoBattery and higher voltage under load will help, yes the controller is where you are going to see the speed!

    Great video. Question on the trigger wire. Do I join the trigger wire with the existing wire so they both are butt joined when I make the connection to the key switch or leave the wire I snipped terminated?

    • @Kartznfartz
      @Kartznfartz  Před 8 měsíci

      You are correct! You want both wires connected together. That way the ignition switch cuts on both wires

    I just installed the eco battery in my 2016 Yamaha and your video helped. I am in need of that mount you have in the video for the voltage gauge. Do you have a part number or know where I can get one?

    Gday mate, looks like the battery remains on when the ignition switch is turned off. Does the battery eventually shut itself down? If yes when the ignition switch is turned on, does the battery power on OR do you have to manually press the battery button to turn on the battery.

      Hey Daniel, this cart was worked on before a upgraded it to lithium, so the cables that were already on there were definitely long enough. But replacing a battery cable to your controller is really not that much of a deal. If you’re ready to upgrade to lithium, I would be happy to include two new 2 gauge cables and ship it with your lithium battery. Feel free to reach out I’m eager to help!
