New Comms for the Tacoma!!

Hey guys, how's it going?? Using this time of uncertainty in the world to edit some new videos! In this one, I finally won my first Instagram giveaway. @sb_overland on Instagram was giving away a Midland MXT 275 GMRS radio, that included their 6m cord, and their ghost antenna. I was stoked to win, because at the same time I was shopping radios for the truck. This is the installation video, which as you can see is super simple. Ham Technician license test is really easy! Definitely suggest just taking the test and learning as you go. I studied for a week on my breaks at work and got it first try. Everything starts to make sense the more you use the radio. Congrats on the raffle win!

I just installed this setup in my rig. Lol... Congratulations dude. I integrated a cat plug in one of the blank spots in the lower dash.

I have the MXT275. Best GMRS radio ever. It goes from my truck to the house. Its always running. Love it !!

I was thinking about just tapping into the 12v in the dash and running it like that. Great idea where you mounted it

If you haven't gotten your Technician yet I suggest doing a little extra studying and do both technician and General at the asme time. General will. give you a lot of HF privileges that Technician doesn't have. When I took my General close to half of was the same stuff as Technician.

Where did you get the antenna mounting braket for the Prinsu?

I actually just ordered the bar mount bracket from midland and it lined up with the existing holes on the prinsu
