Waiting for amazon to deliver 4-person intex soa. In north texas. Last year I really goofed - left it on the carport, not pluggedin. I figured so much water it wouldn't freeze. I forgot about the pipes and inner workings of the motor. Of course it broke. With this new one I am going use all your suggestions so it will be 104 all winter. This way i can use it!
How did i work? And how much snow do you get? How harsh are the winters, I’m trying to figure out a way to do it with a waterproof heated wrap around the machine and insulation around the tub. Please lmk how it worked for you.
@@oliverross8788 it will cause the Pump to overheat, not the pool. The pump (think of a computer that has an internal fan that kicks in periodically to cool its motor down) needs to be able to breath so it doesn't overheat
I'm guessing it didn't help much ? I decided to do the opposite . It seems the weak spot is the top. The sides are pretty thick and the top cover is much thinner. Mine really struggles with 45 degree temps . Today I ordered thick bubble wrap and insulation for the top and will ignore the sides.
@@milothechihuahuabrunetandmommy I just built a homemade blanket for it. I trimmed a 7 x 7 blanket to fit and added 4 layers of 1/2 inch bubble wrap . Lets see how it does tonight at 32 degrees outside. Last time it was that cold it gained zero degrees without the new blanket.
@@milothechihuahuabrunetandmommy Update: Two corrections . I trimmed a 6x6 solar blanket , not a 7x7 and with nothing but the standard cover , the water temp actually dropped 3 degrees on a 36 degree night last week. After adding the 6x6 and 4 layers of 1/2 inch bubble wrap , the water temp rose from 85 - 102 degrees on a 104 setting . In other words it gained 17 degrees instead of dropping 3 in a 24 hour period. My model is the largest 290 gallon Intex .
Where are the links you mentioned you would post?
appreciate a parts list including the premade pump box :)

What kind of tape did you use to tape the reflective insulation around the hot tub?

The insulation over the pump will cause it to over heat and at best sort out or worse catch fire!
How!! It's summer here and 104 outside so there's no way it's to hot in that box they don't need cool air to run lol

Doesn’t the hot tub egg need to breathe ? Without any ventilation it would seem that would damage it no?

You have to understand the sides may look thick but it's just air..... There's really no insulative value there.
@@asutodd Actually , I measured them and they are twice as thick as the top. I added extra layers to the top and it holds much better.
Hello mommy
What a massive waste of time 😅.
Okay but why not just deflate it and put it away for the winter? Oh are they still using it in the winter?
Ghetto!
