Mongolian death wurm, Nidhogg the dread bitter, the man eating worm of lambdon .... the dune worm isnt the only modern depection either there were tremors, like like from the zelda series, and those creepy worm things from the pit scene in kong skull island. Dune didn't make up the concept it is thousands of years old and there are literally hundreds of examples of "giant man eating worms" of various types throughout the scattered mythologies and legends of the world. Some of my favorite are the native American mythologies of the worm that carves the canyon.

Your point at 14:44 is so weak, almost like you didn't even bother to pay attention to the panel to see that the gorosseis were in their hybrid forms, I thought this was obvious by nusjuro still having his torso, and mars' wings being extremely small, and nothing compared to his full form. So ofcourse ju peter's silhouette would also look different.
I hate it when you say some good stuff, some actual plausible theory, and follow it up with obvious false things like this, it just throws me off.

      That's right.
Since he's the Godhead of Agriculture, and he turns a thing that lives in deserts, I bet Oda WAS planning for Ju Peter's ability because all Gorosei have a monster form that is the opposite of what they're supposed to represent:
-Saturn is Science and Defense, turns into an Ushi-Oni which is merciless and can only be hurt by magic and supernatural incantations
-Nusjuro is Finance, but becomes a barren skeletal animal
-Mars is Environment, but becomes a bird which appears in periods of famine and drought to cause blights
-Warcury is Justice but becomes a ferocious beast that preys on humans

We've actually seen that the gorosei, despite not caring about human lives, aren't trying to kill as many as possible. Saturn ordered all marines to evacuate the island before the buster call started. He could've had them all stay and be killed but there would be no point to that. He certainly doesn't care about them but he's also not going for the maximum number of casualties. Same thing here with Ju Peter. He rescued the cipher pol agents AND the seraphim. The seraphim are strong, important, and expensive so the World Government would want to recover them. The agents were probably just a bonus. It's not worth sacrificing the seraphim just to kill some grunts.

Saturn ordered the marines to evacuate before the buster call. He could've had them all stay and die but there is no reason to do that. Mars could've killed Lucci for failing but he felt him be. What's telling is that Mars said he can't watch out to avoid stepping on ants, meaning that he's not deliberately trying to kill but his actions may cause collateral damage and he wouldn't care.
As for Ju Peter, he rescued cipher pol agents AND the seraphim. The seraphim are too valuable to sacrifice just to kill some grunts.

I know i already said this in another person's thread last time you mentioned this idea, but I really struggle with the idea of Ju Peter being a traitor specifically because of the role he'd NEED to have in the Heavenly Tribute as Godhead of Agriculture.
From that alone Ju Peter would be responsible for the lion share of starvation, death, and suffering in the One Piece world. @@ReiseLukas fair point, it's not like Ju Peter could just immediately stop the Tribute without giving away the game. But he's certainly still been complicit in a way even beyond how Vegapunk has been complicit in the WG's crimes, (and that complicity was something which Vegapunk fully acknowledged was a wrongdoing and moral failure on his part), so if Vegapunk was guilty of THAT much then Ju Peter would still be culpable in a very drastic way regardless of whether he started cooperating with Dragon covertly after hundreds of years of willing inaction.
Like, the mere existence of the Royal Tribute is the single hugest driving factor for why anybody supports the Revolutionary Army in the first place. Same as in real life, common everyday people generally don't risk their lives to go upend their local government unless they're starving and can't feed their families. Especially like in pre-Revolution France, whose decadent Royal government was one of the biggest inspirations of the Celestial Dragons' culture.
I'm really not sure what his motivation could possibly be if he's the traitor and this theory ends up being true. I really hope he isn't just secretly a good guy. It would be wildly inconsistent, and I trust Oda not to just heel turn humanize somebody on that level of evil. Another point would be the fact he is named "Shepherd" and the "ju" part of his name uses a symbol that looks like a cross, which i would say is a clear reference to jesus, someone known for a sacrifice for humanity, so i think ju peter will sacrifice himself for the good guys.

Mongolian Sandworms are mystical creatures that inspired the Dune Sandworms. Also, Oda probably read the Dune books since they were written since the 1960’s. Oda probably is a massive classical Dune series book fan reader.

It makes sense throughout major arcs there’s always trators involved and this one was FULL of them specially when it’s the Gorisei showing up

I really hate when people use their own lack of imagination to blame Oda, what was Ju Peter ability used in the throne room? A Big scream with a mouth as wide as the rest of his body, Morj, you being unable to see it is not Oda's responsibility...

If take Doflamingo as example he was influenced by Trebol just as Big Mom was with Streusen, Imu can be a same case with the gorosei putting him in the throne and where the "traitor" was Lily.

Ok saying it’s a Dune reference is kind of pissing me off because the Mongolian Sand Worm is a mythical creature from north China

But the one in One Piece is called a SANDWORM (サンドワーム), the same name in japanese as SANDWORM (サンドワーム) from Dune, not Mongolian Death Worm (モンゴリアン・デス・ワーム).

rare Morj L here - the silhouette can easily be read as a sandworm. it’s a blob with a huge mouth, the exact same as what the worm looks like

Look up the Mongolian Death Worm, said to live in the Gobi dessert. I don't know why so many CZcamsrs are convinced Oda took the design from dune when all others are based off myths when an Asian mythical creature is right there.

One thing to remember is that at the end of Dune: Part 2 the sandworms which are the biggest headache for fremen, become helpful for The Fremen.
I agree with the sandworm part, but oda didn't select the sandworm randomly.
