Hi! Welcome back to RBT Exam Review. Today we are reviewing motivating operations in applied behavior analysis. Part of understanding motivating operations is understanding establishing operations, abolishing operations, evocative effects, and abative effects. Motivating operations increase the value of consequences and temporarily increase current behavior. Motivating operations can be difficult for RBTs and BCBAs but we are here to explain it in simple terms. RBTs and BCBAs need to know these terms for the RBT exam and the BCBA exam.

I love how you explain the terms and how you go over each and every answer to the questions saying whether they fit or not. I’m halfway through my masters program and you have been a breath of fresh air when it comes to explaining everything simply and correlating it with every day events. Thank you so much!

The economy and human activity/ behavior in general all fits into this framework, a more isolated society makes social media more valuable as a replacement, keeping tech valuations inflated. Human isolation is an establishing effect which strengthens the reinforcement of replacing people with social media/ AI. These people are paid millions of times more than behaviorists with positive intentions, the end of society will be very well reinforced. #cookiesOwO
