I think Cobbling is in a weird transition period where you have a lot of old timers that have been used to dealing with cemented construction shoes for the longest time, cobbling together a shoe any way they can and customers not knowing any better/not caring as long as it gets fixed. Now you have a whole new movement with all the cobblers/resources and media online and people are starting to wear Goodyear welted footwear again. This is why I will hesitate to go local for my footwear because I don't live in a major city. Anyway, top job as always. Red Wing needs to make Pecos just as you've constructed them here.
The boots look great, hermano. I own a pair of the 1178 Pecos, but the sole are still too new to change them out. I like your work so I’ll highly consider your shop to resole them when the time comes. Jesús

I have been thinking about getting a pair of pecos for awhile now. If they came from red wing as good looking as they do leaving your shop I would have 3 pairs already.

lovely restoration. does anyone know what kind of red wing boots that are being restored? they look to possibly be Pecos 8188 (but I am really not sure) which came with nitrile cork sole i think. i have three pairs of Pecos 866s. the white crepe sole seems to wear out pretty quick. so now i am thinking about some harder wearing sole replacement alternatives.
