- This video is just a short overview of the instrument painel that comes with the base model Triumph Trident 660.
I hope this can be of some help for those that have the bike, and can´t remember where a certain function is, or for those that just want to know a little more about this bike.
Take care ;)

Nice concise explanation of panel functions without any superfluous chatter. It showed exactly what I wanted to see.
Thanks. I'm glad it helped you 👍😎
Just got the exact same model and I wanted to a quick rundown of the cluster and this was perfect. Already know what I’m going to alter when i get to the garage
Nice 👍
I'm glad the video was helpful for you 👌
Ok, yesterday I was by triumph because I’m interested to buy the Tiger 660 sport and I thought that display it is actually useless but now I change my mind. Thanks for the explanation 👌🏻
cool video John, thanks a lot! can't wait for my Trident to arrive next month.
subscribed :-)
Thanks man. You'll have fun for sure 😀👍💪
Great video. Guess the showroom guys won't be able to demonstrate the same any better!
You are wrong in your description of Auto Indicator Cancellation. It is 8 Secs PLUS 65 yards (not Or). So if sat at lights and 8 secs elapses, it still waits a further distance related element before auto cancelling.
Nice, thanks for the correction. 😉👍
Great video , nice explaination
Thanks man. Glad it was helpful 👍
Thanks a million. I hate reading manuals.
Glad i could help dude 👍
Thanks, I'm just about to buy either a 2020 Duc Monster 659 or Trident 660. I'm happy how they both ride, but the dash on the Triumph is far better than the Duc so your video tips me over the edge and I'll order the T660. For a learner rider and the $$$ I want the best tech I can get.
Great! I'm glad the video was helpful for you. The trident 660 is a great bike. You'll love it 👍😁
Love it
Very helpful thank you. My bike gear change indicator was set to 6k and I couldn’t find how to change it. Thanks
Glad it helped 💪
Happy riding 🏍🏍
Thanks, very informative video! I have a question though, does the bike have cruise control?
Unfortunately no.
Hi,
About the driver's name, I asked Triumph service about it, they replay that the Trident instrument does not support this feature, and the user manual is wrong..
Take care and happy riding.
I have never managed to make it work either...
Nice video, I love my trident but.... What are your thoughts on the blinkers switch position?, I find it extremely uncomfortable, my hand is medium to large but I cant find a way to activate the blinkers without leaving the grip, is it just me?
That's normal on many bikes to be honest. Thick gloves make this even more difficult.
Is there any way to have your gear indicator larger, like in the information tray?
Yes. You can configure it to be in the information tray. 👍
Where are the bike mode screen? How do I know what mode am I using?
Thanks for the video - I found it on my search for the pictograms shown when there are mistakes as my Trident just shut down yesterday in a steep curve what really wasn't too nice. Too bad that the manual doesn't provide the necessary information... maybe anybody has a hint? I'll call my Triumph dealer and post it here if any interesting info comes back
how will we change gear shift light ?
Just bought my trident and the menu is exactly like yours no Bluetooth installed and I haven’t found a video how to connect the phone with the bike …will you’ll be installing a Bluetooth module on yours? Kind regards from Belgium 🇧🇪
Hey there 🙂
No. I Don't think much for the BT module to be honest.
I always mount my phone to my bikes, and have all the information, but with much more quality.
Next upgrade, should actually be the suspension 👍
Take care dude. Ride safe 🛵👌
thanx dude
if you have a chance to put a connectivity module on the bike it would be very nice to demonstrate its features as well.
Hey there 👋
I'm honestly not sure that will happen. Thanks for the suggestion though 👍
@@John_Neves thank you anyway😊
Basic and good
How does one change the speedo from kmh to MPH?
with respect to Pressure reading, does this mean that the bike has TPMS?
Hi there. TPMS is an opcional feature. It costs just under 300 euros, and the reading will appear on the display, once installed 😉👍
Hello there, is it possible to disable the ABS as well?
Hi there 👋
No, it is not 👍
Anyone know the tire pressure for the trident 660? Manual says 34F 42R? Seems kinna high
I like to think that tyre pressure has a little individual preference in it.
On most road bikes i like to run 36 on the front, and 38 on the rear. Seems to work well for my individual weight and comfort. 42 seems on the high end and maybe for a fully loaded bike 🤔
If you don’t mind me asking how tall are you and how heavy you weigh? I just adjusted mine to 32F / 36R and I’ll see how that feels tomorrow I’m 5’9” 165lbs
@@AyeItsXander sure. 5'10 190lbs
where do you see the time???
May i ask why my bike doesn’t have the "RIDER NAME" option
Hi there,
seems like a bug from Triumph...
As far as i know, it hasn't been fixed.
Only no outside temperature ?
Nop :)
Hello everyone! But is it possible that there is no sensor to measure the outside air temperature ???? Oh noooo
ehehe. I personally have never felt the need for that :)
@@John_Neves Yes but ... I would have loved to have it!
I have 1 and 3. 3 might be tappet noise, but apparently it's just a triumph thing
Yeah.... seems that way...
I want to buy a Trident for my "short" wife - 5'5".... will it work??
Hi there 👋
Yes. 5'5" will work. But best sit on the bike first 👍
How can i cancel service signal
Sorry. I'm not sure you can. Maybe someone around here will answer. But i think it maybe a dealer only thing.
How do you know if you are currently "in" rain mode? This seems to just show you how to change parameters of each driving mode
Hey there 👋
Press the M button next to the horn button 👍
It's nice that the motorcycle tells the rider when to change gears. You know, just in case the rider is an idiot who shouldn't be on a motorcycle to begin with.
I understand your sarcasm, but it's actually quite usefull when you're in sixth, stop all of a sudden, release the clutch to head off, then stall the bike because you didn't downshift all the way to 1st 😬
Come on, it's happened to us all 🤣🤣
Its mainly for use when running the bike in, so you don't over rev the bike and ruin the engine when its new, also Formula one cars have this feature, so they must all be idiots 🤣
@@kazuyar So the tell you when to shift idiot light goes away when the bike is done being run in? DERP
@@skymningforelsket1302 you can set it to whatever revs you want or turn it off altogether
You failed to demonstrate what has turned out to be the biggest problem with this cheapo display- setting the clock’s am/pm. It’s impossible.
I'll have to check that out 👍
Set first using 24hr time, then change to 12hr time. I know this is old but might help someone to not spend two days thinking about it like I did
