    hello and thank you for this very useful video. i am doing a pretty similar project and would like to know how did you bend the connections between throttle. did you heat them before? is it steal? what was your technique ? a wrench and some force?
    thank you!

    What's the issue with the standard fuel rail not having a return? Why does this matter? Thanks

      In a standard st the fuel pressure is controlled by the ecu. It does it by controlling the voltage to the pump and increases and decrease the pump as needed. When you go to itbs a standalone ecu cannot replicate this control of fuel pressure so a return system is needed. With a fuel return system the fuel pump runs full pressure continuously and excess fuel is returned to the tank. Hope that helps. Thanks.

      @@Sparkplugsteve ahhh, makes perfect sense.
      Planning on fitting an AJ30 V6 from a Jag S type to a rebuilt kit car. Been looking at the Emerald K6 who claim plug and play.
      As the AJ30 doesn't have a fuel return and the K6 doesn't mention anything about fuel pressure regulation I guess there must be some fine print somewhere.
      Really useful information. Thanks.

    Hello Steve when you got this running how did you get your dash rev counter to work

      Connect the wires from the ford loom to the crank sensor. I left the standard ecu is place

    Hi Steve, I know that it's not the case on your car but, do you know what injectors fit these throttle bodies?
    I'm fitting a similar kit and I intend to use the itbs injector port. I'm trying to find a compatible injector with no luck...

      Contact danst engineering is your best bet if your using standard bike location for injectors.

      007tlawed awesome! I've got gsxr100's on my ST170 engine with a DTA S60 ecu

    • @Sparkplugsteve
      @Sparkplugsteve  Před 7 lety +1

      onslack that was the ecu I was looking into but with a loom it worked out £1200. this ecu and a plug and play loom is £695. what bhp have you made?

    • @onslack
      @onslack Před 7 lety

      007tlawed yeah it's not a cheap ECU, especially when you factor in the loom !
      I haven't had it on a set of rollers yet as u had a few rubbing issues last year so been trying to trace them ! the fueling map is all diy mapped , but all my diy attempts at making det cans haven't worked I'm taking it to a specialist for them for fine tune it and sort the ign

      onslack what size trumpets are you running? I'm going to fit 90mm ones but will require some modifications to scuttle area. from my research any less will lose potential bhp.
