Haha, how long has it been since you've seen the first Toy Story? (Granted, it's been a while for me too lol.) Woody literally was ready to stay silent and let Buzz rot away in the elements when he accidentally got knocked outside via the window. The original plot had him toss Buzz out outside on purpose! Would've been a murder plot if they weren't actually toys. Woody's ALWAYS been savage. It's cool to almost be rediscovering the characters again though... I haven't even seen the new film yet but I'd actually forgotten Bo Peep existed in this franchise...

I never forgot Bo Peep... I just wanted her GONE. When Toy Story 3 came around and we heard she had been sold in a garage sale (or something along those lines), I almost PARTIED.
Well, I partied too soon. .-. My only tidbit of happiness now is that she didn't kiss Woody at the end of Toy Story 4... My interests in Barbie and Ken and Raggedy Ann and Andy (before you fight me, research them, because Johnny Gruelle, the author who wrote their original stories, NEVER said they were siblings) from a young age got me into this "vein" of thinking that only toys made for each other should be paired up (while I wouldn't criticize someone for not thinking the same way...) and I still do. I get that Pixar and many other people find it more interesting to pair up toys that have major differences and I can see WHY they would do it, but... It just doesn't resonate with me.
I've wanted a COWGIRL for Woody since 1995 when mom took 3 year old me to see Toy Story in theaters. When Jessie showed up, that was like... I was SO excited. I LOVED her and I still do, regardless of how things have transpired. But I REALLY wanted Bo out of the picture so Jessie could move in... >n>

      @governor_explosion Před 5 lety +20

CosplayCore I’ve always liked how you expected Jessie to end up with Woody, and they probably did on the original TV show Woody’s Roundup, but as her own person outside of the TV show, she fell in love with Buzz instead. It’s not what you’d expect, but it’s refreshing. And TS4 made me glad Bo had come back and got a more fleshed out personality. I just wish we’d seen Bo and Jessie interact more (and/or interact with Princess Mira Nova, but Pixar pretends the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon never happened.)

In Orlando, it's not too hard to get Galactic Hero. Just hit these targets:
    ROOM 1
    Robot's left hand (back hand) - 100K
Spin around and hit the middle of the claw - 100k (or maybe 50k...I can't remember this one for sure)
    ROOM 2
Top of the volcano - 25k (but you get a lot of opportunities to hit it)
    ROOM 3
Small target at the bottom of Zerg's ship - 100k
    ROOM 4
Bottom of Zerg's ship - 10k (your vehicle locks in place, so this is really only for topping off if you're close to 999,999)
Snap a photo of your score on your phone and show it to the cast member in the gift shop. They'll give you a sticker or button, usually.

I mean in California (idk about the rest) the on-ride photo is at about the quality my Motorola Razr in middle school had and you can only get it by email.
I still love it, but when I went at Christmas the most memorable thing about riding it multiple times in a day was that around 10-ish someone dropped an open ranch dipping cup in the line and it was still there after the fireworks. That bugged me more than any outdated-ness.

Those guns are the absolute worst; half the time they barely work. The tiny red laser dots are almost impossible to see where they're aimed. Was probably great back in 1998. Really just a button masher now.

Another note about the ride/game interactivity mentioned at 13:31. There was another ride that used a similar concept. The exit area for Mission Space in WDW had a game where two teams would complete tasks and race rockets. This tied into an online game that could be played on Disney's website. It looks like Space Race is still in the post show area, but I can't find a trace of the online game.
