- Hi everyone! In today's video, I will discuss the future of WoW Remix once MoP Remix ends.
Summary:
00:00 - Intro
00:46 - The Positives
04:54 - The Negatives
08:46 - TBC Remix Next?
10:26 - Final Thoughts - Hry
I'm expecting a WoD or Legion remix more than anything. There's a lot of cut rewards from both expansions and the questing in particular for WoD is really fun.
My biggest issue with Remix is Blizzards insistence on policing the fun. The mode was advertised as broken and unbalanced, then they sit there playing whack-a-mole trying to balance things. If there will be a second remix gimmick, they really need to be more hands off, and stop slapping players hands when they try to grab the advertised cookies.
I think the main issue there is that they had a specific idea in mind, but not enough testing was done to make sure that idea wouldn't get undermined in some way. I think next time they should probably be a bit more hands off like you mentioned, and also more thoroughly test the expansion areas for anything undesirable.
I was honestly not a fan of OG Warlords of Draenor but if they did a remix of it similar to what Pandaria got, I would totally be on board for it!
The thoughts of a BC remix made my whole body go Michael from The Office meme "dear god please no" 😭 it would make sense, especially with all the datamined recolours, but the thoughts of having to level through HFP again makes my skin crawl, even for mogs/mounts, as much as I love going after those. Pandaria was tolerable, first time around and in remix but BC? The thought of it sends a shard of ice down the back of my neck 😰
I’m betting they do Legion next. Pandaria was one of the most popular expansions. If they did WoD remix not many people would play as it wasn’t very good. Legion was also very popular so I can see them doing that as well.
I personally think they might do WoD next because not many people played it. That means there are a lot of rewards that are already in there that people might not have and the raids/open world were good. They would need to stay away from the garrison/shipyard cause those systems were soul grinding and killed the xpac for many.
it wasnt that WoD wasnt good, it just didnt have nearly as much and it was cut short in favor of Legion. There is so much cut content, not just from a story perspective. The expansion wasnt bad, it was just boring and short. I dont expect them to add in the content that was cut like the entire Ogre continent, or the Shattrath raid but people clearly sell WoD short. Personally I liked WoD over Legion.
Remix, despite its flaws, has been a blast. Can't wait for more.
Agreed. I've done 3. It was a load of fun.
I think with the reset releases of BC through cata classic, starting with Mists was intentional. I assume WoD is next. I also wish they'd have allowed old challenge modes to come back with recolored models.
Big fails include mounts not dropping off rares or bosses, mounts can only be acquired via bronze purchase. Additionally Reputation vendors do not have any item on them. You will have to wait until the end to then use that character to get rep rewards on retail.
My only major complaint about the event is not being able to move characters in and out of the remix. I'm very much expecting a Legion Remix in the future.
Is a vanilla remix too much to ask for? That would be so fun. Most of us were never able to enter Naxx or get to the end of AQ back in the day. I would love it lol.
TBC ReMix would be nice to get Ashes for Kael’Thas xmog. 😅👍🏼
Id love the legion remix
Give me Legion remix!
If this means ill eventually get invincible without having to farm him 12 times a week then I'm ok with it
Ulduar Timewalking Quest has a higher drop rate. Took me 10 character attempts in one go.
@@capitolphoenix7531 This. I was able to get Mimiron's Head as well by doing this. There's no need to farm ICC over and over - just get the one-time Yogg kills per event per character and you're very likely to get them and even the Infinite Timereaver.
what's the point of Invincible then if everybody and their momma will have it
rarity creates value
@@NOSFERATU_ONE I think it makes more sense to use a mount or cosmetic because you actually like it, rather than just because it's rare.
@@capitolphoenix7531 It's got like a 5% droprate or something similar to that, just based on what I've seen from other people and my own experience. I managed to get both Invincible and Mimiron's head across a couple events. It's a lot better to try and get these older mounts through this method every now and then, rather than going through the long, long raids each week. You can even get the Infinite Timereaver by doing this, and afaik, it has a similar droprate from the 1-time box per character.
The same is also true for the Cata raid mounts.
I hope they do WOD but they FINISH the damn game!
Expecting them to uncut the cut content is a tall order. They will always go the easy route.
@@Shiirow It's also bold to assume that cut content was even nearly fully developed. A lot of cut content, in any game really, is far from completion. The main cut things we could expect would be various cosmetic rewards, like mounts. I can think of two really cool mounts from WoD's files that we never got to see off the top of my head -- one being a jet black recolor of the Spawn of Galakras mount and the other being a very cool, very weird Chimera/Rylak mount.
There's also, presumably, plenty of weapon and armor recolors too.
