Imagine if the Blue-Eyes player stole the deck, and it started a chain of people getting salty and stealing a janky burn deck
and then it became the only deck anyone plays on Master Duel. Somewhere along the way, people start swapping out cards for staples and hand-traps to make it more consistent, until all that's left of the original concept is Magic Cylinder (which eventually gets side-decked). This is how meta decks come to be.

That actually happened to me cause last year someone played Zarc by halfing there life points banished all my cards from the Extra Deck, Field, and Hand ( I was playing @Ignister) drew Pikari and got Tia Strike and use Tia Strike to beat him

Magic Cylinder targets because in the anime, Kaiba used De-Fusion on Ultimate Dragon to avoid it. When they printed it in the TCG, they probably wanted to keep that interaction so they made it target the attacking monster and fizzle if the target is removed from the field.

Works better in my pyro burn deck, this deck I focus on Cauldron and toll burns.
I tried to play this and was paired against Dinomorphia: Toll single-handedly won me the game đ
It is indeed crazy how effective Magic Cylinder can still be against MD players. I love running my 3 Magic Cylinder and 3 Magic Cylinders. Makes getting to them easy and you can just discard or mill them to make things less predictable.
Beautiful. I love decks like this because it trolls and it makes people read cards and not move as fast (while still having a ten minute turn)

@@JohnnyMacs19 actually in that aspect it does matter. Because where the toad did not negat that cards activation, he misses timing for the cards effect as it is an effect but because it's an effect, toad can't negate as it only does that for actual cards activated from hand or flipped up.

@@JohnnyMacs19 More or less that depends on the cards wording. Generically speaking, yes. Most cards negate activations, it's just in this case where Farfa's mistake was he thought he could still negate it with toad, even though it was just an effect and toad only negates activation of spell/trap cards. It can negate monster effects but because of how it is worded on the card, it doesn't stop effects already in play. I won't lie I might be wrong too. But that's the only thing I can think of really

oh i came across this 2006 burn deck on duelist cup, it was really funny how bad it was
This is pretty much an amalgamation of burn decks taking in and out cards I feel works.
I run a similar deck, 3 magic cylinders with the other trap card that places a magic cylinder from deck to set and when I activate a magic cylinder I can banish that other trap card to double damage :D plus the spell card cauldron, mirror force, scrap crow trap, and can't forget that motion cannon spell... I managed to do 9000 and end the duel once. :D

Toadally Awesome negates the activation, we get that. But he only understands Spell/Trap Cards that activate, not Spell/Trap effects that activate. The Wave-Motion Cannon was already face-up and so it was an effect activation. Toad sits there looking silly. :)
