Rafael Fontão is known for bodysurfing in big and challenging waves in Rio de Janeiro. He lives in favela da Rocinha community. Fontão started bodysurfing when he was 20 years old and has not stopped since. Fontão is one of the leaders of the Bodysurf Family and Project Amar, two non-profit initiatives that work on bodysurfing and other sports.
