Completely agree. I also did it 4 years ago, and with everything I’ve learned since (and for much cheaper) I think it’s pretty outrageous how much they charge given it’s just 1 tool, when so many people need way more than just that to fully heal. I find it totally irresponsible that they try to act like you’re just not doing it right if it doesn’t work for you. I wouldn’t want it to put anyone off brain retraining techniques, but there are much better, more sustainable ways of learning it and addressing any underlying causes is key.

You can do the Lightning Process on your own by watching recovery stories (on youtube and some various blogs) and reading and applying the book which is available for $10. The success stories are important because the placebo effect is a key part of the recovery process. If you don't believe it will work for you then it probably won't. You really can't approach mind-body treatments the same as you would purely biomedical treatments.
You can do the inverse of this recovery process by reading forums devoted to CFS or long covid which will convince you that it's *only* a physical illness and that you can't influence it with your mind and your only option is to pace and wait for a cure (which is probably never coming). Personally I think it's wiser to choose the former.

    Hi Daniel,
it’s kind of funny because I‘ve been having these thoughts you just shared. I did the seminar in March (inspired by a girl here on CZcams) and my experience was similar to yours. I went back to life and then crashed heavily within a couple of weeks. I was getting severely depressed because I had my hopes up and feeling like I was not doing the process right. Also by this stubborn way of toxic positivity telling yourself that you are recovered eventhough still far away from that 😄 Now that I am approaching CFS in a holistic way I can already see small but real progress. And I feel like this is what we should really strive for. I also started your programme and I am loving it so far. Thank you so much! 🙏🏼🌞

I wasn't convinced it would work for me.
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia I suffered with it for 10yrs with many long stays in hospital. Since LP I have been fit and healthy for 4yrs. I don't feel I'm suppressing my feelings or anything physically, more the opposite. I'm recognising when I'm in need of something and acting on it.
I was really disappointed it was such an expensive course. That's my one complaint. Most of my savings were spent on it, and it means many people can't afford it.
However I'm now able to work, I've built my savings up, but more importantly it's completely changed my life for the better.

As soon as I about the term "Lightening Process" I was abit sleptical, because it sounded like there was a quick fix. Who doesn't want to heal fast? Lightening is natural power, so I guess one could think there was a way to harness that power more quickly than any other therapy. Alex Howard also distances himself from it because it can make you focus on the mind, while not being in tune with our body. I know for myself that a mind that races ahead of the body is not healthy. Thankyou for sharing your personal experience. I'm sure many with MECFS will be grateful for learning the truth about this and reconsider. 💕🙏

Daniel 😘 I can't even begin to tell you how loud my sigh of relief was as I listened to this. I feel emotional! I agree wholeheartedly 💕 It's a strange feeling isn't it, knowing something is kind of helpful but also feeling ripped off! Ha! I was confused by the emotion repression straight away when I did the course...to the point where I spent the 3 days having panic attacks due to the pressure to "be well". I agree totally with what you are saying about the root causes not being addressed, I now see that completely. I know the work of Sarno etc is making so much sense with being a HSP and having certain personality traits. I do believe it may "work" for a few people who aren't running any other patterns or trauma. I actually knew an ex lightening process practioner who said that she left because for the majority of people it wasn't the whole picture and she felt frustrated. I can see how if you go into the training in the wrong frame of mind it could lead to huge disappointment. The sad part is like you I believe wholeheartedly in brain retraining as an amazing element of recovery. But there is other stuff to sort out too. I think that's where the issue comes in with the marketing and price. I also made progress in the beginning but slipped back due to the underlying causes and triggers. I would really urge people to do brain retraining but use another program or trainer. There are tons of more affordable options that have an almost identical process. Thank you again for your honesty Daniel 🙏 biggest love xx

A boy from my Lightning Process group tried to commit su#cide a few months after the course. We were all very young. All told that we should only tell our parents that Lightning Process cured us. If we said it didn't work "mom and dad would have wasted money and be very sad and we wouldn't want that, would we?".

I've done the lightning process for ME/CFS as well. I feel you don't have the proper understanding...the Stop is absolutely never a frustrated yelling one as you are portraying. That is scolding yourself! and definitely what they say NOT to do. It is about love and kindness toward yourself. It is a calm, kind and loving, Stop (to interrupt ruminating), then making a conscious choice to look at things with a fresh life enhancing perspective (or keep ruminating which nobody wants), then your coach (you) telling you Well done and how much they love and believe in you and then shifting to a belief that enhances your life rather than running the old habitual painful patterns. This is different from shoving down or ignoring emotions, you're noticing them and then making a conscious choice how to respond to them. And this will calm you because you are being patient, loving and expanding and being taught to create what you want rather than what you don't want. And that you have the power to influence your health and mood greatly. My coach also encourages things like breathing techniques, grounding, and slowing down in general for calm. It does indeed work wonders if you stay committed. It's about dropping that belief that it won't work for you when you don't get 100% right away. Everyone has wobbles. And we are taught to focus on any small or large positive change rather than omit them and only focus on failures...which we are quite genius at (not on purpose)! We are also taught to use LP to create CALM flowing energy by using visualizations with those qualities...not hyped up adrenaline visualizations. Coaches are very quick to respond to emails and q's about those details when you are practicing. Calm, flow, healthy and vibrant. No pushing.

I felt I was possibly on adrenalin or something. I do get the brain science behind it . I also felt I needed coaching after it , loads and loads of coaching and mentoring, but had to pay for each private session of this, which was not possible. My friend did it and it worked for her. She has never looked back,. She was 1. lot younger than me 2. had not been as sick as me 3. did not have the childhood trauma I had 4. had her parent at the course, so she could coach her after and give her loads of support. 5. did not have an AI disease as I do I do not think 80 % people get better. Maybe 2 out of each group of 10 maybe ? I look at it as a stepping stone and and a good learning experience. There are no issues to resolve with the nervous system I actually believe healing from cfs is really simple until everyone starts to complicate it with thoughts about illness it’s just about relaxing into a healing state and then waiting for the body to catch up to that healed state that’s why people get frustrated when the lightning process doesn’t work immediately and they panic and say it’s rubbish which it’s not it’s really useful as a tool to stop the mind from doing illness thoughts which the average cfs person is doing most of the day we simply need to get out of our own way also as I said body massage to relax the nervous system helps but mostly it’s about trusting that we can heal and surrender then allowing it to happen and really not focussing on it at all but just peacefully relaxing into the present that’s all it is

I'm halfway through your video. Seems nice. But have you tried the carnivore diet? If you want to be happy and healthy I think that's the only way. There is also the 90 day beef butter bacon and egg challenge? That could be an easy way to start. We know stress is a big problem but you need a healthy brain. That comes from your diet.
You have to eliminate the vegetable oils #1 then the grains and HFCS and then the vegetables and even the fruits.
Chronic fatigue syndrome? Really? That's an easy one. It's auto immune. You don't even have to go full carnivore for that. Simply start by eating more meat and butter. Any kind of meat, beef bacon fish sardines chicken, even eggs. And eliminate the vegetable oils if you can.

It's a top bottom approach, in the end it can play a role in life and recovery, but not as black and white and emotional bulldozing as they sell it. It is a pity, but without the sales pitch, I would have never bought it.

@@releasecfs I also think, regarding a lot of these me/cfs energy healing type therapies, when you see the practitioners they're reading from a script, they don't see you as an individual person, not all people are the same and they don't seem able or willing to deal with that, spinning round in a circle or tapping or reading a flashcard may feel good for some but I found it really draining so obviously i felt worse

@@releasecfs I live in Michigan, my dads name is Francis and his sisters are Lottie and Ghislaine, I thought I would search my last name on CZcams just to see what came up, the last name I would think isn’t all that common so I wouldn’t be surprised if we were distantly related and since my grandpa had 16 siblings lol
