I was there, it was a really cold an rainy day/night. Wintersun played after the big headliner, so most people were kind of exausted. Also Eternal Darkness is far from being a party song. What you are seeing is just a normal black metal crowd. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The thing is. Some songs doesn't feel like a Metal song nice to mosh, there are songs from Wintersun like these who sounds like a Opera or an Ochestra. You can only lissen and enjoy this masterpice. I saw Wintersun last Year live and it was this feeling what you get by hearing this. You don't know what to do you only lissen and enjoy.
You are right, but what @GamehouseGr says is true too. I think this is so overwhelming that you don't know what to do. There's no headbanging can contain that brutal amount of power!
Someone fucked up the soundboard sound for two first songs and it's all mono. And for some reason Starchild is even missing even though they played it there. But it's nice and historical footage nonetheless.
Yeah, he botches it the same way in every live performance of the song. This is probably the trickiest Wintersun solo to perform. Teemu is otherwise flawless 99% of the time.
Its crazy that he can play Winter Madness solo FLAWLESSLY tho. Cos that ones ridiculous. Even Kevin fuckin Heiderich doesn't play it perfectly. End lick to ED solo must just be on some other planet shit.
Un passage en France.en Bretagne serait un pur bonheur. Vous êtes vraiment géniaux 🤘❤️🇨🇵🇫🇮. C'est un plaisir de vous écouter. Merci wintersun pour vos chansons.
Kinda feels like Forest that Weeps would have made for a better song to debut live. Groovy mid-tempo riffs and that crazy epic chorus would have been perfect sing-along material for the festival crowd, whereas Eternal Darkness is more about atmosphere and dramatic buildup. Plus, you know, Summer song for Summer Breeze xD
before someone goes apeshit over the sound, it does sound very weird in this recording. I don't know about the specifics but this obviously doesn't sound anything like it would sound live or if the sound wasn't all fucked up... It's like.... jumping all around on the levels and the frequencies it picks up the sound on.. so from one moment to the next it picks up higher frequencies more than the lower frequencies and vise versa, and keeps jumping in the range of the frequency all the time for some reason, and it sounds really weird pretty much all the way through.
Rebecca Hope even so, it sounds totally badass. Sometimes even if something doesn't sound like it should, it can sound just as good or even better, but it's just different.
i was there and the sound was even cooler than on the album version. the bass was phenomenal there. of course it sounds very different when being recorded like that.
it was probably recorded straight from their AXE FX's which I guess has automated changes for EQ, volume and other effects to fit certain parts of the song. nothing weird here
I love you all I wouldn't make kids to I love all my kids even if they're not mine that don't mean I'm putting my property up for Gail's kids to get out of jail
It's understandable, considering Jari's past with tuberculosis etc + it's the last song of the gig. But it doesn't change the fact that it's a bad performance.
The band performed while being ill. They did very well nonetheless. If you have extremely high standards, yeah I guess you could say it was bad but come on..
13:27 That final "I am Death" and the abrupt ending sends shivers down my spine. So powerful.
Rolf Pilve???????damn.....what a beast of drummer \,,/, (-.-) ,\,,/
Still that crowd tho... The most majestic and epic metal in the universe is going on before their eyes and they're like: "meh, okay"
Bunch of fucking zombies in that crowd. There should be some kind of metalacoplyse shit going on in that crowd.

Finally a pro-shot of Wintersun
Summer Breeze 2005 had a pro shot, however it was so old the quality was terrible.
Someone fucked up the soundboard sound for two first songs and it's all mono. And for some reason Starchild is even missing even though they played it there. But it's nice and historical footage nonetheless.
Yes.
On the last song (this), Teemu looks tired. All my support to him, great job as lead guitarrist
Joxes AFAIK the whole band was sick there
Fucking brutal. Dat bass. Great show. Hail Wintersun!
This is song is pure organized choas! Like the power of untamed nature. Epic live footage!!
3:33 Is Jukka doing the backing vocals on that? Like "OOOOHHHHH"??????????????? THATS AMAZING!!!!!!
me llega al corazón
I think it was Asim too
THIS IS MINDBLOWING OH MY FUCKING GOD
I MUST SEE THIS SONG LIVE
I have seen only 3 seconds of this and already feel sorry for the drummer
That bass!
Rip Teemu at the end of the solo
"Goddamnit Jari, why'd you have to make it so hard?!"
@@WintersunExtras That's what he said!
Yeah, he botches it the same way in every live performance of the song. This is probably the trickiest Wintersun solo to perform. Teemu is otherwise flawless 99% of the time.
can you tell me exacly when he makes the mistake?
Its crazy that he can play Winter Madness solo FLAWLESSLY tho. Cos that ones ridiculous. Even Kevin fuckin Heiderich doesn't play it perfectly. End lick to ED solo must just be on some other planet shit.
This song is ridiculously good!
@5:49 onwards is just beautiful
First *TIME* I've seen Teemu having a mistake
FACE THE UNKNOWN!!!! HEAR THE CAAAAALL!
Just end of show and total silence to the stage in this track. Epic WTF moment.
The things i would do to see this song played live!
Fucking awesome!!!
Un passage en France.en Bretagne serait un pur bonheur. Vous êtes vraiment géniaux 🤘❤️🇨🇵🇫🇮. C'est un plaisir de vous écouter. Merci wintersun pour vos chansons.
Amazing song! Thanks for shared @WintersunExtras!
Rolf Pilve is a power!
ανατριχίλες !!!!
Oooohhhhh oooohhhh!!!! 🤘🏻
Time II D-78 😎
Hermoso T.T
Rolf is a fucking a beast he reminds me a lot of Jörg michael.
He was his replacement in Stratovarius
fucking brutal
omg
Saatanan kova livenä.

They played it before the crowdfunding, and Awaken from the dark slumber before the album release.
Aah, ok.
Raato Harmonica Forest That Weeps was played already in 2015, but it didn't have the epic choir.
8:31 Teemu Level Kirk Hammet shitune. Guitar lessons with (Hi my name is Jari Maenpaa)
The only time I've seen Teemu fuck up a solo. He's one of the greatest guitar players out there.
He botches the solo in all the available live videos of Eternal Darkness. He's flawless 99% of the time, though.
Their first cousins names are first cousin too

ᅚᅚ ᅚᅚᅚᅚ the bass created a really ominous atmosphere, fits great
Jari where your guitar
Couple of them are Tom Laney's kids
Who the F can even make songs like this….
Jari Mäenpää
and kai?
He's been injured at the hand, nd still wiating to get better, so he's being replaced for the current live shows:
Jari is god.
What a very depressing crowd.
Crowd is like a song. Totally stunned.
I love you all I wouldn't make kids to I love all my kids even if they're not mine that don't mean I'm putting my property up for Gail's kids to get out of jail
Let Jukka sing main parts of clean vocals
I'd prefer Jari play the solo. Temu is great but Jari wouldnt miss any notes
ввалили так, що аж у стайні, аж сі обригала корова
"They stumbled so much that it was still in the stables, till the cow was caught up."
Google Translate might be a bit off.
A pretty bad performance, actually :-/
Perkele no
It's understandable, considering Jari's past with tuberculosis etc + it's the last song of the gig. But it doesn't change the fact that it's a bad performance.
Are you fucking joking this was amazing
obvious bait
