This is where I learned to swim, some 55 years ago, when I was about 5 yrs old...at the bottom of this waterfall. Our family often camped here in the summer time and we had several of our family reunions there. Our family is from this area, though we're all spread throughout the country now and some have passed on. Some of my most favorite childhood memories come from this park. Hope one day I'll be able to revisit there..
I've already seen many of your other videos, and now I can't believe you actually visited a place I know well. As a student in Ithaca in the 80's I spent several very happy summers in Treman State Park. The slate/shale geology of this part of the Finger Lakes gives the stream its geometric channels and pools. The water is clean and cold. It's like a dream to see it again after all this time. Thank you!
