After weeks of "dominance" in the exhibition rounds of play at the FIBA World Cup, Team USA finally headed into Pool Play where up until they met Lithuania was doing exactly as expected. Coming out flat and absolutely lifeless throughout the beginning of the game, a late run could not turn it around for this young squad.
However, they did end up with an easier opponent in Team Italy, which they did end up dominating. All of this on top of recent comments made by US Olympic Track Star, Noah Lyles who stated that the NBA teams calling themselves "World Champs" is a mistake. Where do we fall on that line?
