  • 👉 Learn how to find the area and perimeter of a parallelogram. A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides. The area of a shape is the measure of the portion enclosed by the shape while the perimeter of a shape is the measure of the outline enclosing the shape.
    The area of a parallelogram is given by the product of the base and the perpendicular height while the perimeter of a parallelogram is given by the sum of the lengths of the four sides of the parallelogram.

      for the last part, he divides 201.1 and π first,
      then takes the whole answer and square roots it,,.
      here is the whole schtick:
      take the original formula first:
      --> A=πr²
      substitute the given AREA, which is 201.1 square inches, so:
      --> 201.1 = πr²
      since we are finding RADIUS, we divide each side by π, so that only RADIUS will be left on one side:
      --> 201.1/π = πr²/π
      we cancel the two π's on the right side, so only RADIUS SQUARED (r²) is left on the right side:
      --> 201.1/π = r² (i will flip the equation)
      now, you have to get rid of the ² next to the r, so you SQUARE ROOT both sides of the equation:
      --> √r² = √201.1/π
      the ² next to the r is cancelled out, then divide what's inside the square root first:
      --> r = √[201.1/π]
      the WHOLE answer you have to square root:
      --> r = √64.0121181116
      and here is the final answer, hope it was clear!:
      --> r = 8.00075734613 or 8.0 inches

    • @nthwielder
      @nthwielder Před 3 lety +1

      there is supposed to be a √ symbol on your calculator
      you put the symbol behind the number that you are trying to square root
      [take the original formula first:
      --> A=πr²
      substitute the given AREA, which is 201.1 square inches, so:
      --> 201.1 = πr²
      since we are finding RADIUS, we divide each side by π, so that only RADIUS will be left on one side:
      --> 201.1/π = πr²/π
      we cancel the two π's on the right side, so only RADIUS SQUARED (r²) is left on the right side:
      --> 201.1/π = r² (i will flip the equation)]
      the square root part:
      now, you have to get rid of the ² next to the r, so you SQUARE ROOT both sides of the equation:
      --> √r² = √201.1/π
      the ² next to the r is cancelled out, then divide what's inside the square root first:
      --> r = √[201.1/π]
      the WHOLE answer you have to square root:
      --> r = √64.0121181116
      and here is the final answer, hope it was clear!:
      --> r = 8.00075734613 or 8.0 inches
