  • Canadian National manifest freights enter and depart Champaign Yard at Bradley Avenue in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, on CN's former Illinois Central main line. The yard here is large, and primarily serves as a re-blocking yard for trains headed to Memphis, New Orleans and Chicago. It also handles some local work. The first train includes a C40-8M cowl unit, and notice, on the second train, a tarp on a carload of lumber has come off and is flapping in the breeze!

Yes they do. Amtrak sends 6 trains a day. 3 Northbound and 3 Southbound. CN sends approx. 20-30 trains across this line and you'll see a lot of fun through power including CSX, NS, BNSF, CP Rail, a lot of regional roads, and especially UP.

Does Amtrak go through this yard, because I remember something familiar about this yard when I was on the Saluki to Chicago.

Which part of Bradley Av. is it? I do see train tracks on BA, but I don't know which part of the street.
