china lost to the brits coz china decided to close its doors since the ming dynasty and thus completely missed out on the industrial revolution and other scientific advancements made by the west. japan was also very backward but they immediately embraced western technology and became stronger than china.
the US is trying to close its doors now, which is a great shame.

I did kinda relied on a bunch of the publications (and videos like this) from the West to learn about China, until I really dug into it and learn that a lot were half-truths while some were outright misinformation. It's a good thing to know how to read in Chinese and explore the history from their perspective (the ones whose parents and grandparents lived through it and who understands things from their own cultural perspective).
It seems harmless to watch videos like this but let's be honest, it does influence how you think of the Chinese people in a negative way. That's how Colonial mentality starts - you think you're superior because the others seem barbaric, so you feel justified to go dominate them because you have the right due to your own superiority.
We're all equal. Treat everyone with respect. Context is critical, don't rely on one source of information.

The survivors of the Nanjing Massacre have yet to receive an apology from the Japanese government. The Japanese government and some Japanese people even denied the atrocities they committed against the people of Nanjing and slandered the victims.

Confucianism is technically not a religion, it's more like a philosophy, theory of government, rule of society, or way of life. And Legalizium also not a religion, it's a way of governence.

During the Tang Dynasty, there was no country called Korea, and the countries conquered by the Tang Dynasty were local regimes of the Chinese people. It is interesting that if it weren't for the Tang Dynasty eliminating the local regime, the so-called Koreans would have been eliminated by this local regime🤣🤣But now those ridiculous Koreans call them their ancestors, just like they call the Japanese their ancestors. It's ridiculous haha

As a Chinese and Chinese history major, thanks bros for sharing this video.
There are several mistakes in your evaluation of this animated video:
    1. Chinese people write on the shell of a turtle not for recording but for divination. They write the things they want to divinate on the shell and then put the shell in the fire to burn.
    2. Confucianism is not a religion. It is more of a philosophy of governing the country and establishing morality like legalism and Lao-tzu theory. In the Chinese historical circle, they are often compared with the Greek School of Sophists, the philosophy of Socrates and the philosophy of Plato.
    3. Although there are religions in China, the Chinese emperor did not force the Chinese people to believe in only one religion. Whether you believe in religion or not and what religion you believe in is more your freedom, as long as you cannot oppose the rule of the Chinese emperor. This is also the reason why there is no so-called "Pope" in China, and the government uses more philosophies (Confucianism, Taoism, legalism, etc.) passed down from the Spring and Autumn Period to govern the country.
It is heartening to see non-Chinese individuals on platforms such as CZcams introducing others to our enigmatic Eastern civilization; nevertheless,it is crucial that misinformation be corrected.I also intendto create videos gradually introducing Chinese history while rectifying these misconceptions.

One thing to keep in mind, is that you cannot judge ancient history with a modern lens. There are always reasons for things being the way they are, and everything must be seen in its proper context.

I think that instead of having time to discuss the conflicts between China, Japan and South Korea, you should manage your own country first. Please the United States stop causing trouble to China. Because of the United States, the lives of ordinary Chinese people have also been greatly affected. Respecting each other is a very simple thing.

After watching your video, what I want to say is that this video about Chinese history is not very detailed. Then there is the fact that ancient China has always used Confucianism as the ruling method of the government. I think other religions such as Buddhism are just some entertainment. As a Chinese, I personally feel that I only have a simple appreciation for other religions. I just like to study the history of various religions and cultures, but I do not believe in any religion. I only believe in myself. In addition, the development of various dangerous weapons through gunpowder was prohibited in ancient China, because bombs are very destructive and are generally only used to set off fireworks. O(∩_∩)O haha~

WTF is this ,this is not how you read Chinese history , mandate of heaven is a way to explain why the leader of Shang overthrown his king ,so it became a doctrine for following dynasties, everytime there's a mishap happened , all nobles looking for a chance to rebel , including some peasants ,two of them actually succeed, and there's no actual religion for Chinese , Taoism not really a religion, maybe half ,only Buddha ,but that come from North India.

Because China believed we were the best and richest for thousands of years and had no need to learn from others. Even Qing Emperors were the most hardworking Emperors in China's history. Some of them were open-minded and wanted to learn from the West. However, they failed due to the inherent feudal system that has worked well inside China for thousands of years. Then China could not be compatible with the new era, and missed the Industrial Revolution, we were rich but did not have enough power to protect ourselves. After around 150 years of chaos, China is becoming great again, China has the toughest crackdown on drugs, cuz we had been tortured by drugs for decades after the Opium War.

China is not a religious country, ancient China's authorities controlled people not by religion, but by a few concepts like Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism, those three have been tested and could be compatible with each other, and had been helping the authorities to run the country.
