Nicker is wonderful. I think its main use has been by designers and people who plan to photograph or scan the work. The light fastness doesn't matter in that case. Nor does the chalky state of it once dry. It gives that wonderful matte finish, but it can rub off and transfer. I love it. Your painting would be great to scan and sell prints or as part of a storybook.

Yep, poster colors make scanning my art to make prints SO much easier 💛

I love this ! As far as I'm concerned, I love both thicker and thinner paint brushes, both have a lot of charm in my opinion 🩷

The thing I love about working with both gouache and acrylic is the ability to work well both wet and thickly. And work over itself if you want. I like the finish colors of acrylic more, but I like the wet reactivation aspect of gouache more. Both are fun to work with wet. Acrylic is my favored media for working thick, other than oil only because acrylic dries too fast.

Gouache’s versatility is SO incredible!! I’d love to try oils some more, but I haven’t seemed to have the time 🙈😅

Wow. This illustration is so inspiring! I want my stories to feel like this. Cozy, comfy, inviting, storybook, fairytale, warm, special, fantasy, friendly, and so much more. Thank you for sharing what you love.

This was so sweet to watch. My go to medium is gouache too. i love it like in a milky/ melted butter consistency, espailly when the paper is super wet. the blending is just magnificent. I also use a stay wet palette when working on more proper gouache pieces. It keeps my paint at the perfect consistency for days. I'm really wanting to do more involved traditional pieces this year. I love squeezing as many little details and easter eggs as I can when working traditionally, but I'm not quite ready for the same traditionally. Looking forward to more of your cozy, gentle, restful illustrations 🌷✨

Thank you so much!! I’ve thought about getting a stay wet palette, but I keep forgetting to buy one. 😅

Love your work and im also an illustration artist that uses watercolor, gouache and acrylic paint for mines. I use gouache like how u use it and put my two different art styles together. What is your go to gouache paint to use for your illustrations?

I been wanting to buh these for months now.. do they really r chalky.. i have used sakura poster..the chroma they have is just beautiful.. u r art is beautiful

If you want to get into polymer clay just get a toaster oven. Just make sure you don’t over bake it then you won’t have to worry about the fumes.

@@allisonaletha thank you for answering. Logically I know it takes many hours to finish a painting and yet because of the power of editing... there's always a small part of me that still thinks I'm too slow and everyone else is faster. 😅
