I hate that whenever Subaru is giving a speech now everyone is like omg where did I see this before he’s copying Rem but without this speech she would never have been able to give the confession she did in episode 18 of acting like he she’s too good for him like never did anything for her even tho it’s not even that many episodes ago

That was soo good when rem called ram onechan while she always called her onesama and it was as if she was calling her respectfully and without sincerity, but in the end she called her the same as before, with the sincerity and friendship of her sister.
Roswall saved them from those uhhh cult people. "Shamac" is the dark magic he learned from Puck
These are the episodes that really elevated this show to a whole other level and gets at the real heart of this story.
Emilia is indeed the one who is a candidate to become the King of Lugunica. Roswaal needs to make Emilia the king to fulfil his goals. That’s what he meant
Subaru let his mana get out of control again by casting Shamak to blind the dog. At the same time he ate a Bocco fruit that one of the kids sneaked in his pocket, to immediately recover his depleted energy so that he could run at the beast.
It was foreshadowed/setup during Puck's lesson about magic, Emilia gave Subaru the same fruit back then.
Not spoiler, But there is one month time skip happened btw this episode and next episode.
During this time skip
Rezero Memory Snow and Rezero Frozen Bonds ova canonically happened
Memory Snow happens in that inbetween month.
The Frozen Bond is set around 7 years before the start of the show (or in other words before Subaru gets transported to the Re: Zero world).
I could be wrong, but I think the author said that if Ram hadn’t lost her horn, she’d be one of the strongest characters in the series

Im glad you noticed how real Rems emotions are, thats kind of the selling point of this series is that the characters really do feel real. Theyre not perfect, their flaws and insecurities arent very reasonable at times. But thats how human emotions are, completely unreasonable about things we shouldn’t be worried about but are.
Rem is just too cute I've seen this series a total of 7 times and she's still the best girl for me, she's just too kind hearted she and Emilia and Subaru is the Goat when it comes to giving encouraging speeches

Just imagine the kinds of self-esteem issues Rem had, being at best an afterthought, if not told outright wishing she didn't exist because Ram would be even more powerful with two horns... then the guilt on top of it because in one moment she was elated when Ram lost her horn. Which makes Subaru's presence even more incredible because in just one evening due to his influence she changed the way she thought about herself.
Rem is to fucking sweet and kind!

They're not even done showing why Rem is best girl. Not even close.
It's always jarring when Subaru goes girls are supposed to be pretty, or makes comments about a girls body out of nowhere. It's the only thing that keeps me from taking this series more seriously. It's so obvious that the light novel is aimed at a Shonen demographic but with the horror/time-travel as a secondary factor.
But i really think the author deconstructs the traditional gender roles especially later in the series, and Subaru’s view on women is blatantly contested by the world itself where literally all the royal candidates are women and most obviously Felix and Crusch’s relationship.
It’s like Sokka’s development from ATLOU but I haven’t read the light novels yet so I don’t know if the author is cooking yet ✍️
It's not that jarring when you take into account that he is a cringey 17 year old with no social skills. Have you ever seen Jubilee videos about "rizzing" up women, it is pure uncensored, uncut cringe.
